Rude and not very helpful staff! They charge costs arbitrarily! I brought analyze a swab according to the request of the doctor and was advised to do another doubling spending 'cause as prescribed would not give me full results ... ok advice followed and done !! After receiving the results they charged me another 20 Euros for something that they rudely told me sore for further analyzes that say they have done ... but I have not rischiesto! I believe it was my right to be informed and not find myself a doubled and extorted account !!! I paid without too much controversy ... but this place cross over and do not recommend anyone to turn to so little professional laboratories and so unfair !!!

Shameful to say the least. I pay € 187 for the tests, first they don't send me the results, then they send me a cut photocopy and tell me to contact the third laboratory (Synlab) which carries them out for them.

Competent, efficient team, equipped with the latest generation tools. A precious resource for the city of Taranto, as evidenced by the influx of users and the fact that it is the laboratory chosen by companies for seconded and expatriates.

I recently had a medical emergency in my family and I needed a laboratory to do a variety of blood tests, very many, even particular ones. I asked no less than 4 laboratories in the Taranto area, even though I thought that in the end I would turn to the Santilio laboratory, which I remembered from childhood as a serious and very professional center. The result was the following: the other three laboratories (whose name I do not use for seriousness) to which I brought the prescriptions made by my doctor gave me the maximum satisfaction and, counting exam by exam, they provided me with the estimate final expense. At the Santilio laboratory I found a person who told me “We don't care about the doctor's prescriptions… eh but these are many tests…”. And so I already didn't like the approach to the customer, done in a way I don't say rude but at least approximate and haughty. In addition we come to the prices: - 1st workshop: € 270; - 2nd workshop: € 285; - 3rd workshop: € 250; - Santilio: € 570. I left it for last, convinced that I would have booked right there, but when they told me the price, I was speechless. Naively I reiterated the presence of the recipes, perhaps believing that some exams were in agreement with the NHS, and I even added that perhaps there was an error. No mistake: € 300 more than the other three laboratories. Obviously with the same exams. It is useless to insert derogatory and offensive comments, it would not be correct or even polite, because opinion must never lead to judgment. Therefore I leave the evaluation to you. But as far as the review is concerned, which certainly acts as a counterweight to many other positive ones as it should be, 1 star is too much.

I respond to the negative review of Mr. Marco M who complains about the excessive prices of the laboratory compared to others. I would like to point out that the prices we apply respect the ASL tariff for those that can be carried out by the laboratory itself. For others not carried out by us we can, at the request of the user, send them to highly specialized third-party laboratories and the prices of the same are dictated by the tariffs of these laboratories. Furthermore, for those contracted with the ASL and performed by our laboratory, the cost may vary according to the achievement of the monthly monetary ceiling that the ASL TA assigns to each laboratory. I would like to point out that this ceiling cannot be exceeded by any structure under penalty of non-reimbursement. To be clearer if a prescription from the attending physician with 8 required exams reached by hypothesis a value of € 70.00 the user (not exempt) would pay € 36.00 while the remaining € 34.00 would be reimbursed by the ASL TA to the laboratory only if the laboratory has not reached the limit of the aforementioned monthly ceiling; otherwise the € 34.00 would not be reimbursed, ergo if the user still wants to make them in our laboratory it is clear that he must also pay those € 34.00. It is clear that when the tests are particular they are also more expensive and the difference between the ticket and the reimbursable fee from the ASL TA becomes even more expensive. Add to this that the cost of the tests may also vary depending on the method used and use as an example currently in vogue the tests that are used for the diagnosis of COVID 19: tests with immunochromatographic method (antigen tests) prices around € 15.00 , molecular biology test (Real Time PCR) € 62.00.
