Sono stato alla Taverna del Pescatore il 24 aprile 22 con tutta la famiglia e da subito il proprietario si è dimostrato molto disponibile e gentile. I bambini (3 e 5 anni) non gradivano la pizza "assaggio" con le acciughe e si è subito preoccupato di fargli una mini Margherita di assaggio. Abbiamo poi ordinato dei ottimi antipasti di mare freddi e caldi e un primo semplice per i bambini (abbondante per 4 persone) cozze e vongole a pasta corta. Essendo una quantità enorme di pasta, non ce la siamo sentiti di ordine un'altra primo, anche se la tentazione era tanta. Abbiamo così ordinato 2 fritture di mare veramente ottime, croccanti e asciutte allo stesso tempo e 4 tiramisù squisiti. Tutto buonissimo e il proprietario e la cameriera sono stati molto gentili con noi e i bambini. Prezzo nella norma per la qualità delle porte. Sicuramente tornerò senza bambini.. ?

Il paradiso per gli amanti del crudo…Varietà e qualità stellari! Pesce freschissimo cucinato egregiamente con grande maestria dallo chef e patron Nunzio…frittura e grigliata impeccabili. Cruditè eccellenti. Grande rispetto per la materia prima e prezzo più che onesto viste anche le quantità servite. Torneremo sicuramente con grande piacere!
Paradise for raw food lovers… Stellar variety and quality! Very fresh fish cooked with great skill by the chef and patron Nunzio… impeccable frying and grilling. Excellent crudités. Great respect for the raw material and a more than fair price considering the quantities served. We will definitely come back with great pleasure!

Sufficiente ma non ottimo! Abbiamo voluto provare questo ristorante di Gubbio che propone piatti di pesce di mare, senza il pregiudizio di chi dice che per mangiar del buon pesce bisogna andare al mare. Abbiamo ordinato degli antipasti misti (insalata di calamari, polipo con patate, lumachine e cozze) e, saltando il primo piatto, due fritture di paranza e un calamaro e tentacolo di polpo alla griglia. Nulla di straordinario o, se preferite, sapori alquanto ordinari e frittura un po' passata di cottura per essere un ristorante che, in assoluta controtendenza con la ristorazione eugubina di territorio, vorrebbe essere un polo di attrazione per chi ama mangiare pesce di mare senza dover raggiungere la costa. Buoni i dolci per un conto, che per tre persone e senza aver consumato vino, è stato di 130 euro. Valutazione sufficiente, ma nulla di più delle tre stelle, anzi debbo confessare che ero tentato di dare una stella in meno perché non ci è stato richiesto di esibire il green-pass né è stato chiesto ai diversi avventori che sono entrati dopo di noi dimostrando davvero poca attenzione nei confronti della salute di se stessi e della clientela. Anche per questo non me la sento di consigliare questo ristorante ad amici e conoscenti e con ogni probabilità non ci tornerò.
Sufficient but not great! We wanted to try this restaurant in Gubbio that offers seafood dishes, without the prejudice of those who say that to eat good fish you have to go to the sea. We ordered mixed starters (calamari salad, octopus with potatoes, snails and mussels) and, skipping the first course, two fried fish and a grilled squid and octopus tentacle. Nothing extraordinary or, if you prefer, rather ordinary flavors and frying with a little cooking purée to be a restaurant that, in absolute contrast with the Eugubian cuisine of the territory, would like to be a pole of attraction for those who love eating sea fish without having to reach the coast. Good desserts for a bill, which for three people and without having consumed wine, was 130 euros. Sufficient rating, but nothing more than the three stars, indeed I must confess that I was tempted to give one star less because we were not asked to show the green-pass nor were we asked the different patrons who entered after us really showing little attention to the health of themselves and customers. Also for this reason I do not feel like recommending this restaurant to friends and acquaintances and in all probability I will not return.

We visited Gubbio a few days ago and this place surprised us by the taste and originality of its dishes: simple presentation but great taste. Even though it was a bit late, the owner / cook prepared a series of "antipasti" for us and pasta for the children. He basically decided (a kind of surprise menu) and we all enjoyed a delicious meal in a relaxed atmosphere. We hope to return ...

An excellent restaurant with amazingly fresh seafood. We tried La Taverna del Pescatore at lunch on a Saturday. We had starters.. and that was so much that we could barely eat anything else. The seafood was really really fresh (I like eating shrimps head, which always give it away), and Grechetto (a local white wine) accompanied the meal well. My favourite was the squids with mushrooms, an unusual combination which I totally approve. I’m usually picky with restaurants, but I was very positively impressed by this one, so I decided to take the time and leave a positive review.

Our overall experience in this restaurant was quite disappointing. Upon arrival we felt warmly welcomed for the dinner on the terrace (no service inside due to the COVID restrictions). It was our last meal of holidays in Italy and would like to enjoy seafood and fishes. We explained that we would like some antipasti, before a primi or secondi, and asked for some suggestions of antipasti. The waiter (or owner?) recommended us a variation of house specialities as antipasti. Looks great so far. We were told that we could order the primi or secondi later on. We received quickly an "amuse-bouche" and some bread. Then we received 4 sorts of antipasti: raw fish cooked in lemon juice (really excellent), shrimps in spicy sauce (very good), squids in olive sauce (good), smoked salmon (too salty, nothing really special). We enjoyed the antipasti. Then we received another plate of octopus. Ok. It was probably still part of the antipasti. The octopus was excellent. Now we looked forward to ordering our primi (I like pasta with seafood) or secondi (my friend likes grilled fish). But... another plate arrived on our table: mussels and razor clams, cooked in a cheese sauce. We didn't like this plate. Cheese and seafood don't really match together. And much too salty. The taste of cheese took over the seafood flavor. And we were wondering if it was still the antipasti... Then arrived another plate: Moscardini in sugo (musky octopus in tomato sauce)... Ok, with this plate, we will be full and won't be able to order our primi and secondi. The Moscardini was ok, nothing special, but too salty as well. Then the waiter asked us if we would order any primi or secondi. We answered that it's fine and ordered 2 coffees. We still thought that the antipasti was so huge that it was actually a complete meal for us. We asked then for the bill. And this was the surprise... 103€... only for the antipasti, 1 bottle of wine, 1 bottle of water, 2 coffees??? Actually the mussels & clams and the musky octopus were not part of the antipasti. Only the 5 first plates were the antipasti (20€ per pax = 40€). We found it incorrect to bring us the sauté of mussels (2 × 10€) and the Moscardini in sagu (8€) while we only ordered the antipasti. We don't mind to pay, but it should correspond to what we would have ordered. We left the restaurant disappointed, without our pasta and grilled fish, but with something that we did not order... Never again.

We just finished a delightful meal at La Taverna del Pescatore. We were in the mood for something other than pasta and their fresh seafood was wonderfully prepared and presented. Our bill was a pleasant surprise as well. Highly recommend!
