★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went inside because it looked interesting, but it turned out to be a very strange experience. Most of the staff looked nice, but we didn't get any attention at first. After deciding we don't want to eat here, we went for 2 small beers. Waiting 15 minutes for beer was something, but the real shock came when we went to pay, and were added 2€ each to the total for 'coperti'. Turns out, that's the Italian way of charging us for use of their glasses. A total letdown.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great seafood and as fresh as you can get but make sure you reserve a table and book early in the evening if you can. We went on a Saturday night and it was manic. At least 50 people who didn't have bookings were turned away. Unfortunately, it does a large Takeaway business and the kitchen is under serious pressure constantly. Don't bother even asking for the Dessert menu. It's shockingly poor. But all of our fish dishes were excellent and well worth the wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came across this place by accident in torrential rain. Took a chance as it was was the only place with plenty of cars outside of it ! Great find. Very nice building and authentic Sicilian. Enjoyed the meal and ambiance. Very nice staff and the food was excellent. Just wish we could come back on this trip but there is always next time. Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply the best fish meal of my life! I went there without reservation and late for the Christmas lunch with my family (and this can be a HUGE problem in Italy, specially in interior of Italy). They lovely found us a place and served the most fresh and delicious food I've ever had! The combination was amazing, in giant quantities (really giant, I don't know how a person can manage to eat all the courses) and with a kind service. My only regret was that I didn't discover La Taverna before they are fully booked for New Year's Eve. I totally recommend this restaurant!!! ♥
