Battista, è appassionato del lavoro che conduce da moltissimi anni, e prodigo di spiegazioni sulla sua produzione (il laboratorio è attiguo al punto vendita e visitabile su richiesta). Consigliatissimo. Excellent products at fair prices keeping in mind the complete craftsmanship of the same. The owner, mr. Battista, is passionate about the work he has been conducting for many years, and generous with explanations on its production (the laboratory is adjacent to the store and can be visited on request). Highly recommended.

Ne avevo provato altri di varie marche siciliane, ma trovo che questi siano i migliori assaggiati fin'ora e a prezzi più convenienti. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. I am a camper who in Avola discovered the artisanal fish products of Mr. Battista Spugnetti. I had tried others of various Sicilian brands, but I find these are the best tasted so far and at cheaper prices. I was very satisfied.
d	diego tomasello on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Parla uno che quasi non mangia pesce del tutto...la sera prima in bici siamo arrivati tardi e quindi ci siamo accontentati di quello che aveva lo spugnetti pescheria all'angolo...L'indomani troviamo la oltremodo gentile titolare, lei che prepara e confeziona ogni singolo barattolo con le sue mani, lei che sa di conserve e tonno più del mare stesso !!! Ci siamo fatti una cultura, il pinna gialla che credevamo fosse il migliore invece viene dell'oceano ed è carico di mercurio etc...il rosso invece è lui il re dei tonni...poi l'ala lunga...il tonnetto che più piccolo è più dolce il sapore...il palamito...quasi imparo a mangiarlo, a sera i miei dicono che per quanto è buono "non sembra neppure tonno"...abituati come siamo a credere che quello in scatola che spacciano per tale DAVVERO LO SIA !!! Spediscono anche a casa ...bravissimi e consigliatissimi. Talk about someone who hardly eats fish at all ... the night before we arrived late on the bike and so we were satisfied with what the fishmonger sponges on the corner had ... The next day we find the extremely kind owner, she who prepares and packs every single jar with her hands, she who knows more about preserves and tuna than the sea itself !!! We have made a culture, the yellow fin that we thought was the best instead comes from the ocean and is loaded with mercury etc ... the red instead is the king of tuna ... then the long wing ... the tuna that the smaller the taste is sweeter ... the bonito ... I almost learn to eat it, in the evening my parents say that for how good it is "it doesn't even look like tuna" ... as we are used to believing that the canned one they pretend it REALLY IS !!! They also ship home ... very good and highly recommended.
