P	Peter Lawrence on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The good the bad and the ugly. Maybe it was because they were renovating the reception when we arrived but it was kind of an omen of things to come. Lovely location at the edge of Arezzo. Not difficult to get to at all. The staff was extremely accommodating as we had a mix up with our green pass but it all ended well. Shabby chic is the style I guess. More shabby than chic. We stayed in the Catherine room. Needs to be cleaned up and freshened up. The toilet was in a closet and we ran out of hot water in the shower in the morning. The cleaning staff left a dirty sponge in the toilet closet. We ate dinner at the resort. Very limited menu. The food came on cold plates. The water bottles were dirty and had fingerprints and other smudge marks all over them. Dinner cost us 80 euros which was expensive for the food we got. Not impressed at all. In the morning breakfast was also disappointing. We asked for an omelette and the waitress who served it I guess was also the cook because she excused herself and said it was the first time she made an omelette. It was burnt and hard. Quite strange. Anyway they were nice people. I imagine 20 years ago it was really hip And nice but it looks like it needs a lot of sprucing up. 4 stars is a bit of an exaggeration. 2.5-3 maximum for us.
D	Daniel Gill on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place we stayed while traveling around Italy, we work in the business ourself, and find we are sometimes hard to please. But this place has everything under control. Delicious food in a very beautiful & atmospheric decorated restaurant. The property is extremely Romantic, and the people working there will gladly have a conversation with you while you are enjoying the outdoor wood firers in the evening, or tasting wine in the restaurant. This is really perfect for a couple get away. We stayed in one of the suites and the indoor jacuzzi bathtub is a treat! But I am sure any room at this place has its own charm. Will defiantly stay longer next time. The town near by is also very very cute and worth a visit, you can easily walk there and back!
T	Tess Cherrill on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous place, mixture of Italy and India with a wonderful eclectic mix of styles.. So tranquil and nothing but birdsong and bells from the local abbey. Only negative is no strong light to read by at night, otherwise perfect. The restaurant was wonderful. Great breakfasts and the standard of cooking was brilliant. Lovely helpful staff and many thanks to Tomaso and Marco both charming hosts. A perfect holiday.
