?This place is a must, if you go to Rome, if you are gluten intolerant or if you just want to get a good meal served with amazing people that will blow your mind, the service level here is crazy good, friendly, explaining and very very very humble. ??☕Food was fresh, tasty and locally produced. If you get the chance, there is a 25+ year old balsamic cream, that will blow your mind, more than once... And the pesto Rosso, shut the front door it's good. And a virgin olive oil that grease your heart to smithereens, nomnomnom is the only word that will describe the Gastronomic bomb carpet you will encounter here... I would give this place a 7 ⭐ if that would have been possible ?? THANK you for treating us like family ? #cantwaittogetback

I visited La Nicchia as I saw them offering a food tasting on Airbnb but the timing didn’t fit with me. As it was nearby, I just went there. It’s a bit hidden, but once you’re inside, you enjoy a modern-style café and they have the „Nicchia experience“ on the menu with like 12 different dishes to taste and bottomless (!) Prosecco and wine. They had me with that (it’s 25€). The owner lady was so friendly and I received a very warm welcome with a glass of Prosecco. The first plate of two had several bruschettas with pestos, cheese with 30 year old balsamico (wow! Never had something as good as that!), and different truffle products, while the second plate had different Italian meat products. The second one was the starter for the red wine. Basically Prosecco and Wine was refilled all the time so if you plan to do something else on that day… well you get the point ;) Each product tasted was explained in detail by the owner and it was not only interesting but also fun. It was a great pleasure to take this experience at La Nicchia, the food and drinks were great and the owners just fantastic and friendly. Very recommended!

I would rate this place 6 stars if I could. We popped in after walking the Vatican for a quick coffee but ended up staying for a full tasting menu. It’s obvious that the owner is passionate about quality ingredients. He very generously offered a sampling of pestos, a truffle parmigiana spread, pecorino in truffle-infused honey, and the piece de résistance: sliced parmigiana with the most delicious balsamic vinegar I’ve ever tasted. Not only was the coffee excellent, the food was top-notch and prepared by a lovely woman who described each ingredient. When I asked for milk for my coffee, the owner thoughtfully steamed the milk first. The staff here are as wonderful as the coffee and food; do yourself a favour and stop by when you’re in the area.

If I could give more stars, I would! The food is absolutely outstanding. Everything is made fresh, from top notch quality ingredients. This place is a hidden gem! The service is amazing. This place is run by extremely nice, professional and communicative sisters who make you feel welcomed. The cherry on top is that you can buy their pestos and other products! Btw, the paninis are HUGE!
