★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful atmosphere, food, service, and location. This is a small, intimate local restaurant at the foot of the castle in the old town of Santa Severina. Drive towards the castle and turn left through the arch and go under the castle causeway to park just a few steps from the restaurant. Inside is a fireplace and two rooms with old photos and memorabilia, including a king's chair in the corner, a photo of the owner in Milano (1961) and his wife. The elderly couple who run this place are charming. He mans the computer while she cooks and serves (in other words, she does all the work!). A good selection of pasta, meat, and fish with local desert and amaro. Reasonable prices and good quality with attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.
