β β β β β Without a doubt, this is the best gelato in Rome and to me, this is the best one I have ever tried in my life. I've tried many many gelatos but so far nothing can even compare to this. Very discreet place but left with an amazing culinary experience.

β β β β β Puts a lot of effort into making sure the gelato is kept at a proper temperature. Very friendly host who's happy to let you try many flavors. No artificial colouring as far as I could see. Excellent gelato.

β β β β β San Crispino used to be my favorite gelato in all of Italy, and I have recommended it to several friends traveling to Rome. However, after todayβs experience, I am taking it off the list. Did the original owner sell??? The gelato was old with ice crystals evident, and the flavor was bland to tasteless. Such a disappointment from a once superior gelateria!
P.S. Looks like βthe ownerβ has hired someone to refute bad reviews and keep Google happy by responding. I can most assure you I WAS a customer this afternoon, and your gelato was AWFUL!! How about spending more time improving the quality of your product, and less time worrying about bad but ACCURATE reviews!!!

β β β β β The worst gelato weβve had in Rome so far unfortunately. The customer service was great, the gentleman was really nice and offered us tastes of different flavours but none were up to the standard weβve had in Rome previously. We ended up buying a small cup as we felt bad and the icecream was very grainy and didnβt taste right. We ended up throwing half of it in the bin.

β β β β β Pretty much as the review below said. Horrible. Huge chunks of a powdery icey substance in the chocolate and despite asking for a smaller tub and being told it was cheaper, ended up being charged 6 euro each.

4,6 stars, how? Look at ownerβs reply on all bad reviews to learn all you need to know about his place. He slated my last review so you can expect him to keep doing the same to his customers
