**BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE ** This is more of a motel 6 for the price of a trump tower hotel. What a scam , we’ve been traveling Italy and Greece and this was one of our stops. Residence “not an apartment “ was nothing like pictures. It smelled awful, it was super small, and worst of all there is no office to check in or check out. You’re greeted by a super random rude lady off the street. If you’re looking for a shady place to stay , than you have found the right one here!! I hope that folks read up on the reviews here and don’t make the same mistake I did because a place like this can ruin your trip! *UPDATE* in reference to the owners response I can prove that we didn’t email we didn’t call them every day. I called them twice once when we arrived where to check in and was told there is no office and 2nd time to let them know we would be checking out a day early. If y’all actually took the time to update the place and update the pictures of what people are actually getting instead of scamming people with fake pictures to get them to over pay for a dump , you wouldn’t have to worry about having so many bad reviews.

In our stay in Positano we decided to stay in La Caravella! And I’m so glad we did! This place is the best, I really don’t understand how it has bad reviews! First of all the location is AMAZING, and you can’t beat the price! No going up and down stairs with ur luggage and bags, it’s right on the beach. Making its location one of the best things of this place! Our ferry dropped us off and it was a 3 minute walk to the place. The place has Lounge chairs in the front, which is amazing because you don’t have to pay the 25€ Sun bed fee of the Positano beach. We simply left our things in the Caravella sun beds and went for a dip in the beach. We had a room in the bottom floor facing the outside and it was great waking up every morning to such a great view. (Photo reference of the view right outside the residence) The service was also great they come every morning to fix your bed and give fresh new towels and toilettres. The hotel manager Rosa greeted us in the front, and allowed us to leave our stuff in the back as check in is at 1! Such a nice lady, very sweet and helpful, she’s there every morning and night to greet the guest I dont understand why people left bad reviews! People were saying that it was too noisy and I completely disagree. Of course you would hear people talk outside here and there but nothing too bad! Again I had such an amazing experience at this place and if I’m ever in Positano again I will be sure to book this place ! Thank you Rosa! ?

The restaurant manager is very rude and have zero of how to respect the customer, a lot of good places is near bay. Never try this restaurant.

Fine hotel, but stay was ruined by bar music next door. When you go to Italy and stay in a mom & pop type of hotel, you should expect the basics and that's what we got (and were happy with). We knew the price was due to the amazing location and we were able to run from our room directly into the ocean. Unfortunately, the beach bar only feet away is somehow allowed to play techno-type music super loud until around 2-3am even on Sundays. I live in a big city but still couldn't adjust to this and the lack of sleep kind of ruined our trip. The surrounding homes and businesses need to band together and get this bar banned from late night music or something.

The location is exclusive to Positano, there is no other place like this. The room was overlooking the ocean, and it was both clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. There is also access to a private beach that the hotel offers to their guests, and it’s absolutely magical. The view from the beach is stunning and gives you a picture perfect view of Positano. The staff were also professional, friendly and helpful.

Seaside view with the sound of the waves. Private sun-beds in frond of Spiaggia beach with free access to the beachfront. The location could be better. The expensive hotels in Positano have very difficult to access uphill. Caravella beach is the best choice in Positano. Thank you Rosa for the hospitality

Let's talk about Pro and Against. PRO: the position. Located on the Positano beach, it offers good logistical support. AGAINST: paying more than € 320 for a SINGLE summer night would be normal if the service matched what was spent. The staff was courteous but the residence makes use of 70s rooms, a shared kitchen, beds not really comfortable and, for the rooms facing the mountain side, a mountain wall outside the window (1m). Not exactly what you expect for the money spent. Apart from the fact that the bathroom was keyless and some light didn't work. Sums up ... the cost of the room is quintupled only for the position in which it is locate. Tornando a noi.... Being my 1st time in Positano and booking in this hotel, the Caravella is one amazing place to stay in, Rosa the hotel attendant was friendly, helpful and funny. You will only need a hotel to rest and sleep while in Positano and this place is great, has its own place to lay down and tan if you don't want to venture out to the beach, there are 2 restaurants on each side of the hotel and a bar on the beach with amazing and entertaining staff, not to mention great drinks and reasonable prices. The rooms are clean, homey, all but the 4th floor have balconies that will let you enjoy great beach view. Positano is up and down stairs, like you will really have a work out, and if you are to stay somewhere you are best to stay by the beach. You have the town's famous Fly Lounge Bar and Music on the Rocks within walking distance, the main church also within walking distance and the pear where you can grab a boat to Capri. I 100% + 10% more recommend this place. if you don't book a shuttle from and to the airport, closest one is Naples, they can accommodate one for you for 130 euros 1 way. there is a 2 euro tax you will have to pay per day you stay. above all contact la Caravella and let Rosa accommodate you in a great room and have a great experience.
