Ottimi gli antipasti e la carne . Nn ho provato i primi perche' sono arrivato a tarda ora di sera ma mi sono promesso di andarli a provare a pranzo.
Characteristic place in pietta there is a beautiful fireplace that warms the environment and then you can delight in the food prepared by Mr. ROCCO
Excellent appetizers and meat. I didn't try the first ones because I arrived late in the evening but I promised myself to go and try them for lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Devo purtroppo dare solo un 3 perché l'esperienza mi ha lasciato un po' deluso. Gli antipasti di alto livello, a parte qualche discutibile scelta come la piadina, decisamente evitabile. I primi che abbiamo assaggiato molto buoni, a parte la pasta e fagioli che sapeva solo di aglio. Potevano essere tranquillamente fagioli in scatola... Per assaggiare alla fine abbiamo preso anche una grigliata mista. Un furto: qualche tristissimo pezzo di carne, secca (riscaldata?) senza manco una foglia di insalata appresso. Per 10 euro!! Infine abbiamo provato 2 tipi di torte, che di "fatto in casa" non avevano proprio niente...
Unfortunately I only have to give it a 3 because the experience left me a little disappointed. The high-level starters, apart from some questionable choices such as piadina, definitely avoidable. The first we tasted very good, apart from the pasta and beans which tasted only of garlic. They could easily have been canned beans ... To taste at the end we also took a mixed grill. A theft: some very sad piece of meat, dry (heated?) Without missing a leaf of salad below. For 10 euros !! Finally we tried 2 types of cakes, which "homemade" had nothing at all ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un piccolo accogliente rustico locale, con accorta e curata signora che consiglia i clienti sui sapori locali e con il coniuge cuoco, veramente bravo. Tanti gli assaggi gustati e sempre saporiti, dal prosciutto/ricotta/nodini alla polenta con rape, dalla trippa con patate e dal baccalà in umido alle tradizionali frattaglie, dai conditi funghi ai peperoni, ....: il tutto accompagnato da pane fresco, fragrante e molto buono.
Un abbondante e ricco assortito antipasto, quindi, con prodotti di qualità e capace di soddisfare anche i gusti difficili.
Anche i primi ci hanno soddisfatto, con normali tagliatelle ai funghi, molto speciali, e ravioli al sugo con ripieno dolce.
Con acqua, vino e caffè, compreso un grappino per correzione e il prezzo di 20 euro a persona.
Ci torneremo.
A small cozy rustic local, with a shrewd and well-kept lady who advises customers on local flavors and with the chef spouse, who is really good. Many tastings tasted and always tasty, from ham / ricotta / nodini to polenta with turnips, from tripe with potatoes and stewed cod to traditional offal, from seasoned mushrooms to peppers, ....: all accompanied by fresh bread, fragrant and very good.
An abundant and rich assorted appetizer, therefore, with quality products and capable of satisfying even the most difficult tastes.
Even the first courses satisfied us, with normal tagliatelle with mushrooms, very special, and ravioli with sauce with sweet filling.
With water, wine and coffee, including a grapnel for correction and the price of 20 euros per person.
We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Consigliato. Sapori tradizionali, prodotti locali, personale cortese, luogo molto bello. Molti piatti sono adatti anche ai vegetariani. Amo Sant'Agata di Puglia e, quando posso, vengo a mangiare qui.
Recommended. Traditional flavors, local products, courteous staff, very nice place. Many dishes are also suitable for vegetarians. I love Sant'Agata di Puglia and, when I can, I come to eat here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il locale è nel centro storico del piccolo comune dauno di S. Agata di Puglia; non è complesso trovare parcheggio, gratuito ovviamente, né arrivare con facilità al ristorante.
Gli interni sono molto rustici, danno l'idea di una taverna medievale e dicono molto del tipo di cucina offerta. I piatti sono abbastanza genuini, ci sono diversi sott'olio, salumi, tutto quasi a km zero. Comunque una cucina invernale, oleosa, succulenta, molto abbondante e dai prezzi assolutamente modici.
Consigliato per chi vuole offrire una cena a base di carne, salumi e formaggi agli amici, non adeguato - secondo me- per una prima uscita romantica. ?

The restaurant is in the historic center of the small Daunian town of S. Agata di Puglia; it is not difficult to find parking, obviously free, nor to get to the restaurant easily.
The interiors are very rustic, give the idea of a medieval tavern and say a lot about the type of cuisine on offer. The dishes are quite genuine, there are several in oil, cured meats, all almost zero km. However, a winter cuisine, oily, succulent, very abundant and absolutely modest prices.
Recommended for those who want to offer a dinner based on meat, cold cuts and cheeses to friends, not suitable - in my opinion - for a first romantic outing. ?
