★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our expectations for L'OSTEria were fairly high, because it's virtually the highest-rated place in Piombino, and it fulfilled these expectations! Why is it 4 and not 5 stars then? Taglioni with oysters was really good, but not outstandingly. The prices were also high, but come on, it's Tuscany, so don't expect them to be low.
Also, if you compare the service to a nearby 57025 Bistrot... the waiter was very charming and nice, but the whole restaurant experience was not so incredibly great.
Nevertheless, I highly recommend eating here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service really good, and the idea of serving fresh food by adjusting the menu to given ingredients is really nice. But, just coming from Roma, this cuisine here is rather okish. Good, but nothing outstanding. Thus, the prices are too high and the restaurant not worth the hype. I asked for the chef's recommendation and it was pasta with tomato sauce and some crab meat, well, could be more spacial I think...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Communication only possible in Italian, which we didn't speak. But the waitress was eager to help us find the right choice and overall it was an excellent experience. Awesome food, drinks and very friendly staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and small restaurant... the appetizer was fresh tuna tartare.. and had a good fresh taste.... however the orange was a bit strong so the tuna flavour was not really there... the main course was a very tasty baked fish...together with s house wine it was great .. as dessert a warm chocolate cake... this might have been home made but not really sure. Service was good.. we really enjoyed our evening. Make sure you have a reservstion .
