★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicht weit von der Pfarrkirche zum Hl. Josef in Algund Mühlbach entfernt steht die frühgotische Marienkirche sowie das Kloster Maria Steinach. Sie wurden im Jahre 1241 von Gräfin Adelheid, Tochter des Grafen Albert von Tirol, erbaut. Die Sage erzählt, dass zwei Tauben der Gräfin den Ort wiesen, an dem das Kloster errichtet werden sollte. Unter Kaiser Josef II. wurde das Kloster aufgehoben. 1848 erfolgte die Wiederbesiedelung durch die Dominikanerinnen von Linz. Das meditative Kloster wird auch heute noch von den Dominikanerinnen geführt. Die Klosterkirche kann täglich von 7.00 bis 19.00 Uhr besichtigt werden.
Not far from the parish church of St. Joseph in Algund Mühlbach is the early Gothic St. Mary's Church and the monastery Maria Steinach. They were built in 1241 by Countess Adelheid, daughter of Count Albert of Tyrol. The legend tells that two doves of the countess indicated the place, where the monastery was to be built. Under Emperor Josef II. The monastery was abolished. 1848 was the repopulation by the Dominikanerinnen of Linz. The meditative monastery is still run by the Dominicans today. The monastery church can be visited daily from 7.00 to 19.00 o'clock.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wunderschöne kleine Kapelle. Besuch lohnt sich. Es werden dort regelmäßig Messen gehalten. Über dieses Kloster ist sogar ein Film gedreht worden vor ein paar Jahren. "Wir können nicht den hellen Himmel träumen" heißt diese Doku. Lange Zeit haben nur noch zwei ältere Schwestern dort gewohnt von denen mittlerweile eine verstorben ist. Spannender Ort.
Beautiful little chapel. It's worth a visit. Trade fairs are held there regularly. A film was even made about this monastery a few years ago. "We cannot dream the bright sky" is the title of this documentary. For a long time only two older sisters lived there, one of whom has since died. Exciting place.
