★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Im Ort Barbian im Eisacktal kann man eine der kuriosesten Sehenswürdigkeiten Südtirols besichtigen - den schon von weitem gut sichtbaren schiefen Kirchturm der aus dem 14. Jahrhundert stammende Pfarrkirche St. Jakob. Der Turm ist 37 Meter hoch und er besitzt eine Neigung von 1,57 Metern – und das schon viele Jahrhunderte lang.
Auch das Innere der Kirche ist sehenswert. Zwölf bunte Glasfenster stellen das Leben der Apostel dar. Daneben gibt es als weitere Sehenswürdigkeit noch eine Kopie der Wechselburger Kreuzigungsgruppe auf dem Hochaltar.
Interessant ist auch der die Kirche umgebende Friedhof mit sehr kleinen Gräbern, auf denen Eisenkreuze stehen.
 In the village of Barbian in the Eisack Valley you can visit one of the most curious sights in South Tyrol - the leaning church tower of the 14th century parish church of St. Jakob, which is clearly visible from afar. The tower is 37 meters high and has a slope of 1.57 meters - and has been for many centuries.
The interior of the church is also worth seeing. Twelve stained glass windows depict the life of the apostles. As a further attraction there is a copy of the Wechselburg crucifixion group on the high altar.
Also of interest is the cemetery surrounding the church with very small graves with iron crosses on them.
