★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tocca il cuore.... e il don andrebbe supportato maggiormente dagli organi di governo e sprattutto da tutti quei cittadini che si reputano leghisti, che pensano che gli immigrati gli portino via "l'osso da sotto il muso" , dovrebbero proprio tenere ben presente nella mente, che noi italiani, siamo stati e siamo tutt'ora un popolo migrante. Riflessione: "a noi all'estero quando migriamo, quale trattamento ci viene e ci è stato riservato? Alla luce di ciò, se vi reputate cristiani e pure credenti e magari siete pure praticanti, riflettete! Bene mi dite che una buona pare di loro delinque con spaccio? E alcuni italiani che cosa fanno ? Forse creano il mercato ... Quindi? Un consiglio non LegateVi alle prossime elezioni.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Santa Maria Maggiore a Vicofaro è stata Inaugurata nel 1973 e ingloba la precedente chiesa ed eredita il nome da una ancora più antica.
L'architetto Giovanni Battista Bassi nel 1966 viene incaricato di progettare La nuova chiesa ma deve confrontarsi con la preesistente piccola chiesa, ritenuta dalla Soprintendenza ai beni Artistici e storici testimonianza significativa di architettura ecclesiastica popolare.
La rielaborazione del primo progetto avviene tra il 1970 e il 1971. La chiesa
ha uno sviluppo accentuatamente longitudinale, il progettista, partendo dalla preesistente chiesa, utilizza parte della navata di questa per il presbiterio della nuova chiesa, ottenendo un fulcro-cerniera intorno al quale si dispone lo spazio assembleare.
A destra dell'ingresso dalla strada si trova l'ambiente del battistero, illuminato dalla luce proveniente da una stretta vetrata e dal lato opposto, in prossimità dell'ingresso principale dalla piazza, parte una scala curvilinea che conduce alla galleria. Sospesa, grazie a tiranti d'acciaio ancorati alle travi di copertura, questa sovrasta la zona di percorrenza interna della chiesa e si prolunga sui due estremi verso l'altare con due bracci.

Santa Maria Maggiore in Vicofaro was inaugurated in 1973 and incorporates the previous church and inherits its name from an even older one.
The architect Giovanni Battista Bassi in 1966 was commissioned to design the new church but had to deal with the pre-existing small church, considered by the Superintendence of Artistic and Historical Heritage as a significant testimony of popular ecclesiastical architecture.
The reworking of the first project took place between 1970 and 1971. The church
has an accentuated longitudinal development, the designer, starting from the pre-existing church, uses part of the nave of this for the presbytery of the new church, obtaining a fulcrum-hinge around which the assembly space is arranged.
To the right of the entrance from the street is the baptistery room, illuminated by the light coming from a narrow window and on the opposite side, near the main entrance from the square, a curvilinear staircase leads to the gallery. Suspended, thanks to steel tie rods anchored to the roof beams, this overlooks the internal path area of the church and extends on both ends towards the altar with two arms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Edificio degli anni '70, addossato ad uno preesistente. L'uso del cemento a vista, per quanto tipico del periodo, è particolare. La progettazione è stata molto curata ed il risultato è di notevole effetto. Colpiscono in particolare i dettagli interni, specialmente la tribuna sospesa.
Negli ultimi anni il parroco Don Biancalani ha orientato la comunità all'accoglienza, ospitando chi ha bisogno all'interno dei locali della chiesa.
Building from the 1970s, leaning against an existing one. The use of exposed concrete, as typical of the period, is particular. The design has been very accurate and the result is remarkable. Particularly striking are the internal details, especially the suspended gallery.
In recent years the parish priest Don Biancalani oriented community reception, hosting those in need within the church premises.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Io non voglio dare giudizi sulla vita religiosa della chiesa,che via ,via è cambiata e ancora cambierà.L'architettura non mi sembra in armonia con la vecchia chiesetta di Santa Maria Maggiore,i tentativi di innovazione non sempre riescono,ma è lodevole il tentativo. E'il luogo dei tentativi :tentativi di accoglienza,di attività diverse,mercatini di altro consumo...non è tutto deprecabile,ci vuole più attenzione e meno trasgressività. Potrebbero essere attività buone e interessanti.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una "vera" chiesa. Si pratica l'accoglienza e l'integrazione.
Gli ospiti stranieri sono meravigliosi, come lo sono tutti i volontari laici.
Il parroco è una persona dotata di grande coraggio e umanità per cui si mette in gioco continuamente.
Peccato per le malelingue invidiose che ne denigrano le attività. È un vero ospedale da campo e non rifiuta nessuno.
Da quando ne ho conosciuto l'esistenza mi sento vicino a tutti.

A "real" church. Reception and integration are practiced.
Foreign guests are wonderful, as are all lay volunteers.
The parish priest is a person endowed with great courage and humanity for which he continuously puts himself on the line.
Too bad for the envious gossips who denigrate their activities. It is a real field hospital and refuses no one.
Since I have known its existence I have felt close to everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È assolutamente vergognoso, è un degrado puro, peggio di una periferia, c’è da avere paura a passare davanti alla chiesa. Frequentata male, spaccio e quant’altro, forze dell’ordine e ambulanza ogni settimana.
It is absolutely shameful, it is a pure degradation, worse than a suburb, you have to be afraid to pass in front of the church. Badly attended, dealing and so on, law enforcement and ambulance every week.
