★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magnifique place datant de 1268. On y trouve beaucoup de symboles de la Florence d antan. Elle a servi de lieu de fête et d exécutions. On y trouve, entre autre, la statue de Neptune (appelé le "biacone" -> le grand blanc) , à côté de celle d un descendant, à checal, des Medicis mais aussi, en dessous des arcades, les statues de Persée terrassant la méduse et l enlèvement des sabines. Magnifique
Beautiful square dating from 1268. There are many symbols of the Florence of yesteryear. It served as a place of celebration and executions. Among others, there is the statue of Neptune (called the "biacone" -> the big white), next to that of a descendant, in checal, Medicis but also, below the arches, the statues of Perseus slaying the jellyfish and the removal of the sabines. Magnificent
