The food was fantastic, and the setting was incredible. Sit outside if you can and remember that when you dream about eating in Italy this is what you imagined it would be like.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a large wedding group party (20 people) staying across the street. We travelled from all over the world to arrive. I had prearranged a dinner for take-out months in advance and reconfirmed one week beofre. When I went to make my dinner order, after guests had just travelled all day, Il Paese dei Campanelli said they couldn't take our order anymore!!! Can you imagine having 20 guests, hungry, and with no other restaurants to go to nearby? Luckily, I had a rental car and was able to pick up groceries nearby.

Beautiful setting and it’s understandable why they have weddings on Saturday AND Sunday.
Service was a bit slow but very personal.
Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a table here for easter lunch last Sunday several weeks in advance. My sister asked for a terrace table since we were celebrating a special ocasion and the restaurant confirmed it was ok. Upon arrival we were informed that our table was given to another family who walked in without a reservation (how is this possible??), and after that we were given a table in a dark corner of the restaurant. Service was average, not at all attentive. In the very end to try to make up to things there offered us to take the dessert in the garden and that was nice, but it still wasn’t the experience we were expecting. Food was good but not great, wine was included in the menu and was also average.
