Il Fratone è un ristorante dove ci andiamo da anni , premettendo che partiamo da Roma e ci mettiamo circa 50 minuti,ma con la morte del proprietario il ristorante è gestito dai figli che purtroppo non sono bravi quanto lo era il padre . Prenotato con una settimana di anticipo per la pasquetta , avevano premesso che volevamo essere accomodati in terrazza o comunque alla sala interna , cosa che ci era stata assicurata ma poi ci hanno fatto sedere in una saletta all ingresso dove eravamo noi ed un altro tavolo insieme al baccano della cucina ! Piatti scarni e insapore , una grigliata di carne misera e nemmeno di qualità ( guarda foto ) . Qui solo i clienti del posto vengono trattati come si deve , perché così si assicurano la pagnotta tutto l’anno !! Peccato che un ristorante un tempo di qualità stia peggiorando sempre di più . Il Fratone is a restaurant where we have been going for years, assuming that we leave Rome and it will take us about 50 minutes, but with the death of the owner the restaurant is run by the children who unfortunately are not as good as their father was. Booked a week in advance for Easter Monday, they had stated that we wanted to be seated on the terrace or in any case in the internal room, which we had been assured but then they made us sit in a room at the entrance where we were and another table together with the din of the kitchen! Meager and tasteless dishes, a poor and not even quality grilled meat (see photo). Here, only local customers are treated properly, so that they are guaranteed the loaf all year round !! Too bad that a once quality restaurant is getting worse and worse. Forget it, it gets better.

I had the pasta with ragu and the braised lamb, both of which were good, but not extraordinary. Service was very helpful and the room is a nice setting. But they played this loud disco music, which in and of itself is kind of weird but in this restaurant it was really awful.

Beyond the terrifically awesome views from its balcony, the hand-picked ambient music, and the accurate recommendation from its owner about what to eat (which was as simple as effective), the venue is surely a go-to place for office lunch. Besides the big variety in its menu, desserts are superb, and to wrap it up, the price is a wee higher than expected.
