★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ristorante situato a Caroniti frazione di Joppolo ( 177m s.l.m.).
È un classico ristorante e non una trattoria tipica. Fornito di tre sale, una da cerimonie, una da spicciolata interna ed un'altra da spicciolata esterna; la quale è più caratteristica perché c'è una bella veduta e si sta anche bene perché nonostante sia Luglio c'era un'aria fresca, vista l'altezza.
Il personale è disponibile anche il proprietario che prendeva le comande, nonché attento alle varie richieste dei clienti e/o disagi.
La qualità dei prodotti è buona ma non eccellente, mi aspettavo di mangiare prodotti più caserecci.
I prezzi sono leggermente più alti anche se nella mia situazione siamo stati trattati bene.
Abbiamo assaggiato:
° antipasto locale, buono tranne per la parmigiana anche aveva un sapore acidulo;
° vari primi tra cui la pasta tipica di questi posti fatta a mano ma troppo spessa, i sughi buoni ma nilla di che.
° la pizza, benché fosse in forno a legna, era sottile e biscottate, a mio avviso troppa semola e poca lievitazione;
° i secondi erano buoni, le patate al forno ottime;
° dolce ed amari buoni
° vino della casa diacreto.
Da tipico ristorante ha un menù in cui è previsto anche il pesce.
Restaurant located in Caroniti, a hamlet of Joppolo (177m above sea level).
It is a classic restaurant and not a typical trattoria. Equipped with three rooms, one for ceremonies, one for internal drips and another for external drips; which is more characteristic because there is a beautiful view and it is also good because despite being July there was fresh air, given the height.
The staff is also available the owner who took orders, as well as attentive to various customer requests and / or inconveniences.
The quality of the products is good but not excellent, I expected to eat more homemade products.
Prices are slightly higher although in my situation we were treated well.
We tasted:
° local antipasto, good except for the parmigiana also had a sour taste;
° various first courses including the typical pasta of these places made by hand but too thick, the good sauces but none of that.
° the pizza, although it was in a wood oven, was thin and toasted, in my opinion too much semolina and little leavening;
° the second courses were good, the baked potatoes excellent;
° sweet and good bitters
° diacrete house wine.
As a typical restaurant it has a menu which also includes fish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on the top of the mount Poro, around 15 min driving from the village of Spilinga, this excellent restaurant, it is a family run business that, delivers the real taste of food of Calabria.
Handmade Fileja pasta with nduja spicy sauce it’s a must try.
Swordfish of daily catch, was well cooked and perfectly served.
The homemade sweets are served in large portions.
Table are large and comfortable, AC inside but during summer, outside terrace it’s lovely even if fully booked.
On “the dark side” it’s often very crowded and you should easily expect a slow service.
Recommended without doubts, reservation is a must.
