Dopo una splendida escursione in Casentino, eccoci al Capanno. Affettati strepitosi e primi piatti ottimi a base di funghi e tartufo. Non dimenticatevi del mascarpone, veramente delizioso! Oltre ogni aspettativa!
After a splendid excursion in Casentino, here we are at the Capanno. Amazing cold cuts and excellent first courses based on mushrooms and truffles. Don't forget the mascarpone, really delicious! Beyond all expectations!

Sabato 30 Ottobre io mio marito e il nostro Lupo Cecoslovacco Nio siamo stati accolti benissimo. Abbiamo avuto il piacere di mangiare all' aperto visto la giornata di sole che ci ha accompagnato tutto il giorno. Che dire...il posto è in mezzo alla natura e il cibo è buonissimo, genuino fatto come si deve. Buono tutto: il crostone con i funghi, l' antipasto capanno, la tagliata con i porcini, le cotolette di agnello fritte, le verdure miste fritte, i fagioli cannellini cotti nel coccio. Tutto buonissimo...e poi crema chantilly con cioccolato e zuppa inglese. Wow!! Vino acqua caffè e amari. Tutto veramente buono conto onesto. Speriamo di poterci tornare presto il viaggio ne vale sicuramente di gusto e ambiente. Un bravo a tutti dal servizio alla cucina. Serena Francesco e Lupo Nio
On Saturday 30th October my husband and our Czechoslovakian Wolf Nio were very well received. We had the pleasure of eating al fresco given the sunny day that accompanied us all day. What can I say ... the place is in the middle of nature and the food is delicious, genuine and made as it should be. Everything is good: the crostone with mushrooms, the capanno appetizer, the tagliata with porcini mushrooms, the fried lamb cutlets, the fried mixed vegetables, the cannellini beans cooked in the crock. All very good ... and then Chantilly cream with chocolate and trifle. Wow !! Wine, water, coffee and bitters. All really good honest account. Ottimo cibo alta qualità. Appena ho gustato tagliata ai porcini molto buono .personale gentile ed accogliente sorridente. Complimenti tornerò presto.

Atmosfera di montagna.....addirittura con la neve. Ho preso il filetto ai porcini devo dire perfetto con carne ottimamente lavorata. Posti dove ti senti bene
Mountain atmosphere ..... even with the snow. I got the fillet with porcini I must say perfect with excellently processed meat. Places where you feel good

Don't miss this place. It is a little away in the mountains but if you are on a car, spend extra minutes to drive up there. The staff is nice and the food is great. Prices are reasonable too.

One of our yearly appointments is to go to this restaurant after spending the morning harvesting chestnuts. This year made no difference and the typical food (meat, mushrooms, truffles and hand made pasta) has been up to scratch. It's a bit of a journey to reach this place from where we live, but chestnuts, food and the views of the colourful woods in autumn, make all worthwhile. Tables where placed far apart and Covid-19 protocols were all met.
