Con questi prezzi ti piazzi nella fascia alta, se ti collochi in fascia alta devi dare, e qui iniziano le note dolenti: location insufficiente, tovagliato ed arredamenti appena sufficienti, carta dei vini : insufficiente non puoi non avere un prosecco a calice ma solo a bottiglia, dammi queste cose e sono disposto a pagare anche di più. Passiamo al servizio, personale gentile e cordiale ma un pò confusionario. Qualità del cibo direi buono, qui nulla da eccepire, ma non basta per ambire alla fascia alta. Lentezza nel servizio anche nel portare il conto, prezzi leggermente sopra la media e piatti al di sotto della media. Very nice place, and nice staff. È piazza Calandrini dietro al Duomo, all'inizio delle vie degli Antiquari. Qui da sei anni c'è il ristorante IL CALANDRINO, ben gestito da Federico, uno dei massimi esperti di Napoleone e di cose francesi, amante della buona cucina: piatti davvero buoni e molto originali. Vuoi gustare, con un buona bottiglia di champagne, le ostriche del Golfo di Morbihan? Qui è il posto giusto, dove puoi anche trovare il Grand Plateau del Calandrino o le lumache alla Bourguignonne. Ma anche i piatti della tradizione come i ravioli di Sarzana con tocco alla Ligure o le trofie al nero di seppia con calamari, patate e verdure di stagione. Il bravo cuoco Emiliano propone anche i mitici pisarei e fasò con gamberi e gli imperdibili testaroli della Lunigiana con sugo ai muscoli. Trovi anche la carne buona e un ottimo ribs di maiale alla paprika con cottura lenta in bassa temperatura e poi grigliata. E per chiudere i tartufi di Pizzo Calabro, quelli originali. Vi ho trascorso una piacevole serata, ammirando gli artisti che nella vicina “Calandriniana” dipingevano, come ogni anno, i quadri dedicati nel 2021 a Napoleone. Servizio molto efficiente curato da Valentina ed Alice. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. E poi ti può capitare di incontrare personaggi nazionali, l'altra sera c'era lo storico presidente della Camera Nazionale della Moda di Milano Boselli. Si, il Calandrino merita un viaggio.
