One of the best dining experiences I had in Italy! Having walked all the way to Civita and back. We were hungry and looking for a restaurant. There is not much in Bagnoregio. So we "settled" on a little, non-descript restaurant just near the entrance to the town. And we were just stunned by the amazing creative and tasty dishes from this place. Everything was full of amazing flavors, and creatively presented.

If overpriced yet mediocre nouvelle cuisine-like dishes with small portions is what you're looking for to complement your experience of the Civita di Bagnoreggio tourist trap, then by all means, give this place a try. Mediocre pasta, mediocre gnocchi, great but overpriced desert. In my opinion, small restaurant in villages like this in Italy are about eating well, at a fair price, rather than pretentious designs at overpriced costs. Staff is friendly and welcoming, but the atmosphere is a bit too quiet which can make conversation seem a little awkward

I am not sure how this restaurant has such high reviews. We were in Bagnoregio for a few nights and decided to have dinner at this restaurant because the reviews looked great. We went in at around 8:00PM, and there were only two other tables seated (so the place was 70% empty). The restaurant was also dead quiet, no music, no anything, so we felt uncomfortable having a conversation above a whisper as the other tables were also silent. It was really quite awkward. The food itself was not good. One dish we ordered was the gnocchi special of the evening. The texture was completely unappetizing - really grainy and dry. The other dish was the risotto and it tasted like it was straight out of a package - overly salty and synthetic tasting. It was truly surprising and disappointing - I've never had such bad food in Italy. Even a mediocre meal in Italy is often above par. Would unfortunately not recommend this restaurant. I know there are limited other options but we went to Ripi & Go the next night, which is just down the street, and had an amazing meal (both the pizza and the pasta were very good).

It's a cozy place to enjoy a good lunch. They open until 3 pm on the day we arrived. Which is late enough for us to enjoy a late lunch~. Food is good! Tiramisu is fantastic! Good place to stop by no matter you just arrived or you are leaving.

We had a delicious lunch there after visiting the Citita. The host was very welcoming and patient with our broken Italian =) I was pleasantly surprised when he brought out the amuse bouche. All our dishes had great flavours and I would definitely recommend visiting this quaint restaurant if you're visiting the area.
