Lovely venue. It has a grand entrance, with the concert hall on the second floor. The air con was strong which was perfect for the hot summer weather. The music was so perfect. The seats were comfortable. The costumes definitely add an extra touch to the performance. We chose the category B seats and they were still good. Highly recommend this experience at this venue. We were choosing between multiple venues that also performed Vivaldi's Four seasons and decided to go with this one, and it was a great choice.

The ensemble was very untidy in the Sinfonia in Sol Maguire. 1st and 2nd violin not together at all. Did get better especially in the second half . Sitting on camping chairs ! Ushers walking up and down during performance and with hard shoes on. Very off putting . Drunk audience member talking throughout without being asked to leave by the "enthusiastic " ushers . Very accomplished solo violinist in the 4 seasons. All phones should be switched off .This wouldn't happen in the UK.

Date and show: 14th February 2022, Vivaldi Four Seasons Good points: - Bad points: Musicians spent more time walking up and down than actually playing. Musicians practice in an adjacent room that can be heared by the audience which completely ruins the immersion. Video recording poorly policed by staff - better if phones were simply banned. Pauses during pieces invited unwelcomed applause which breaks up the music. Music is mediocre at best. Not sure if the instruments are poor or the musicians need to practice, but frequently put of tune and out of time. For €30 we wish we had tried the concert at Chiesa San Vidal instead. It could not have been any worse! Stay away!!

Absolutely loved our evening here watching The Four Seasons. The performers were amazing and it sounded excellent. Could have done with more than one toilet as we had to queue for a long time.

At Campo San Salvador we can't help but admire the facade of the Scuola Grande di San Teodoro. The Scuola Grande di San Teodoro is one of eight 'Scuole Grande' in Venice. It was founded in 1258 when the confraternity settled in the San Salvador church, obtaining, as the other Scuole, the permit to use a lateral nave and some rooms of the monastery. The primordial history of the fraternity is more than interesting. The Scuola Grande di San Teodoro is part of a very old tradition. In the eighth century, in a small church, where the Basilica of San Marco is located today, a brotherhood was founded and dedicated to the saint who became the city patron. In 828, the Serenissima Republic, following the policy of detachment from the Byzantine sphere of influence, to St. Theodor, replaced St. Theodor with St. Mark, whose body was brought to Venice from Alexandria, Egypt, that year. The old brotherhood thus lost the reason to exist. The actual school was established in 1258, the first among those that would become Great, at the church of San Salvador at the time of the Augustinian Fathers. In 1261 the remains of St. Theodore arrived in Venice from Constantinople and were solemnly placed in an altar of the church. The school undertook with the fathers to keep it illuminated and to provide for the decoration of the chapel and in 1333 the vault of the chapel was finished. The altar assumed ever greater importance when Pope Eugene IV, in 1434, gave seven years of indulgence to those who went there to pray. Meanwhile the School was gaining more and more popularity for its charitable activities. Especially for the distribution of meals to the poor on holidays, meals that were prepared by the brothers in the room rented by the fathers and equipped for the purpose. In 1552 it was elevated to the Scuola Grande. Now Scuola Grande di San Teodoro in its spaces Exhibition Hall and Capitular Hall it hosts congresses, conferences, and interesting exhibitions and in the evening the concerts of the I Musici Veneziani orchestra. The orchestra is extremely high quality and original. Their program is rich in works by A. Vivaldi such as Quattro stagioni, Sinfonia in Sol maggiore, Concerto per archi e cembalo in Sol minore ...... Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely experience. However the event should be taken a little more seriously, not to just pass the event for the tourists and be done with it. Otherwise, it should cost less.

The opera was an unforgettable experience. If your in Venice and don't go to see the opera your seriously missing out. I would highly recommend this venue and the Opera they have going on. It really adds something very special to the beautiful city of Venice.
