★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel can be recommanded for its excellent quality/price ratio.
The staff is pleasant and helpful especially Carolina. Breakfast is tasty and the rooms are very quiet and have climatization. There exists a bike storage room and a private piscine with a life guard. WLAN is available for free.
The only minus is the lack of children activity around the hotel which is of course independant of the hotel management.
Overall we had a very nice stay at the Vela D'Oro !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: The staff were very helpful and attentive. The hotel and grounds are immaculate. The location is great - a very pleasant walk to Bardolino or Lasiza. Bus stop is right outside the hotel. Good restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again. Negative: Part of the hotel is near a bell tower which chimes every hour even through the night..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Location is just perfect and convenient. The hotel is located in Cisano which is a pleasant 20 mins lakeside walk into Bardolino Centre , 5 mins drive into Lazise , 10 mins drive to Garda. There's a bus stop (for Verona and north lake) right outside. Excellent Wifi signal. Plenty of nice restaurants around the hotel. The pool and gardens were lovely and so peaceful. Nice plentiful breakfast buffet, We stayed in Independence across the street which is an annex with only 8 rooms so nice and quiet. Bardolino is flatter than the mountainous north part of the lake so we had better weather and the most amazing sunsets..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Location hard to beat, right on edge of Lake Garda. Great breakfast in a large restaurent overlooking the lake, even in "The Dependance" annexe across the road we had a lake view & a good standard of room. Very helpful & knowledgeable staff, nothing was too much trouble & the attached Restaurent under different management was also excellent & 10% discount for hotel customers.. Negative: Walk-in shower was slightly difficult having a corner entry which for the agile is possibly ok but not easy for a couple in their early 70's. Carpets in "The Dependance" both in the rooms and the hallway either need deep cleaning or replacing..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel in the middle of Bartolomeo and Lazise. With great breakfast and a fridge at the large room to make cold beverages ?. Missing a star because they changed all our towels every day even when we wanted to re-use them. Small thing, but not great for the environment. Gets a huge recommendation from my family.
