★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel staff were very friendly! Especially the receptionist. Hotel was pretty nice, breakfast was a typical buffet and the place wasnt too far from the marina. They helped us organise the transfers alongside other people arriving/ leaving that day. They did have a dog around that managed to poop in front of our door on the first night but really taking everything into considertion, how nice and chill everything was it was really good base for adventuring in lake garada :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Hotel San Filis for five nights during our honeymoon in August 2019.
The stay was great, especially because of the friendly and helpful staff. We felt welcomed from the second we arrived on the property to when we checked out and got a nice goodbye greeting from the staff and all the animals in the hotel written on the receipt.
Speaking of the animals, one cannot mention Hotel San Filis without mentioning Guiliano, the hotel cat. Guiliano seems to spend his days lounging in the courtyard or other places in the hotels, and is one of the small things that gives the hotel its special atmosphere. The hotel is generally animal-friendly, and we saw both guests and staff bringing their dogs.
The hotel is located in an old villa in the centre of San Felice del Benaco, with a beautiful courtyard and a garden with a swimming pool for when you don't feel like going to the nearby beach.
The hotel restaurant is also great, which made us choose to dine there several evenings during our stay, even though there were several good restaurants nearby.
If you want to explore Lake Garda, the hotel also rents out electric boats that are a great way of experiencing the lake.
All in all, the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we will be coming back here for sure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love San Filis hotel! I have been traveling to Italy and always staying at this hotel since I learned about it back in 1990s. Excellent location, beautiful room, excellent chief, interesting people that I always meet while staying there! The family that owns this hotel always take good care of their guests! I think that the location is perfect for discovering Northern Italy, right between Milano and Venice and on famous Italian lakes!
