★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this hotel in early July 2014, staying 4 nights. As beautiful as the setting is, the excellence and helpfulness of the staff is the biggest thing we will remember from this place, especially Angelica. We were the only Americans and only English speaking guests during our stay which is typical based on what I was told. We couldn't have felt more welcome. We had a 2 room family suite overlooking the Adriatic. The room was ok - no complaints but not terrific. The beach is sand and lined with chairs/umbrellas which you can rent daily or pay for as part of the stay. The water was the perfect temperature, guarded by wave breaking walls, with a gradual deepening to a little over 6'. The pool and pool area is large. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and lunch a few times at the cafe/bar and the food was fine. We did have dinner at the restaurant of the sister hotel next door and it was divine while pricey. There are some more reasonable eateries attached to other hotels within walking distance which we tried and enjoyed. I strongly suggest taking the short trip into Ortona by car or bus for a taste of charming, small town atmosphere. A larger city, Pescara, is also a little further north if you'd prefer. We will certainly be back to this gem of a place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my family we travel a lot,here at Mara hotel we stayed from 21 of July 2019 for 11 th days,we found a very nice,clean and well organized beach,the sea is amazing and the swimming pools are clean with warm water!! The rooms are simple,nice and very clean,one constructed thing...better with a big mirror in the hallway before to go out(the womens need that,even us,the man's?)It is a bit a little unpleasant when the train passes.....The food is nice,fresh all the time,may be the breakfast is a bit "too sweet"?!! I would like to thanks to all the staff for our great time,animation team Mambo Jumbo People??,the lifeguard,Mario??,the reception?? staff and the housekeeping staff?? !!!!
See you next year guys?♂️ !!!!
