★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant specialty are mushrooms, of course. I strongly suggest "ravioli porcini e tartufo", the best i have ever eaten. The meat is good and also the cold, mushroom shaped dessert is an interesting innovation! Prices are good compared to the high quality (with 20-25€ you can have a good meal). The only problem is that it's not easy to reach, but if you do it you can enjoy a good walk with the wonderful sightseeing of Abruzzo!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would highly suggest you this fabulous place. It is located near Grand Sasso National Park , surrounded by mountains with breathtaking views fresh air and cool breeze. You will love to go out on a balcony with a glass of wine between the delicious meals and believe me they are. If you planning to dine on weekends please do call at least couple of days before to order a table since it is always full of people. The prices are good, first dishes cost around 6-8 ?, send dishes around 10-15 euro. The place called "Il Fungarolo" for a reason, there are plenty dishes on mushroom base. If you want an advise: ravioli filled with ricotta and tartufo sauce are the best, trust me, you will remember it forever. As for a main dish - do try a "Tagliata con funghi" which comes on a hot plate. The place offers you a bottle of their own local red wine which is great. Order of: antipasto, 2 dishes of different pasta, 2 main dishes of meat, one dessert and one coffee costed us 64 ?. Enjoy your time there. Buon appetito.

Immersed in the uncontaminated mountains of Abruzzo (Pescara province), Il Fungarolo is a culinary destination.
As mushroom experts, the antipasto and pasta dishes are full of divine flavours with their combination of various types of freshly harvested, pickled and sautéed mushrooms and truffles.
Exceptional are the local Arrosticini, most likely the best I have ever had. Homemade and handmade, their arrosticini feature the finest and most tender cuts of sheep and lamb for a truly amazing explosion of flavours.
They say that the arrosticini were actually born in this village, I can believe that!
A venue to reach and visit in Abruzzo and in the Gran Sasso area.
