Hotel La Torretta

Had a perfect experience at this lovely hotel. The staff were delightful and always helpful. Food was excellent. Room was spacious and well-equipped. The spa is very well maintained, and the outdoors hot-tub is much fun. Ski room is good, has lockers and boot warmers (not in the lockers). Location is amazing! Price was unbeatable. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Staff were quite rude, perhaps the rudest we have experiences in resort. A simple smile would go along way! Would we recommend: yes We didn’t stay at the hotel so can’t comment on the hotel hospitality.

Our experience at Hotel la Torretta has been disgraceful. After 2 weeks isolated with COVID over the festive period we were looking to escape to the Mountains for a break so we have chosen carefully our hotel and decided to book here based on the good reviews and their tagline "Sogni D'oro". We have also chosen this hotel for in-room wifi connection as both me an my wife had to be reachable for work and had to carry out some work-related duties. On 2.01.2022 we booked a last minute stay for the period 02.01.2022 - 07.01.2022 on half board basis and for the amount of €1,378, which included half board, parking, wifi connection an quite room. On our arrival we were first asked if we wanted to be shown where the mini-club was for our kids (we don't have any yet). We were then shown the room. We had, unfortunately, to open the laptop as we had a work call to make and the wifi wasn't working. Furthermore, on the contrary of their advertised tagline of "golden sleep" the amount of kids shouting in the thin walls created a situation where I could not even hear what my wife was saying to me. When we raised the issue we were told that it wasn't possible that the wifi wasn't working and dismissed about the chaotic environment. Then, when they realised themselves the truthfulness of our statements, they offer us to change the room to..... a downgrade! Older, smaller, above the garage and next to the stairs. If you are not amused already, the next chapter in this story will make the trick. We decided to leave the hotel as no viable alternative was offered and we were clearly misled. Despite this we offered to pay for the night and dinner although we wouldn't stay. The response given was: NO, YOU MUST PAY THE ENTIRE WEEK. Even with the dinner. After 3 hours drive (with 3 more hours to go in order to come back), ruined holiday, money lost for the ski passes already purchased, and 20 people queuing at the reception desk I have asked a simple question: are you sure of what you are doing and the consequences? Answer: YES. We paid and left. Bear in mind that we paid also the dinners for the entire week. We also had already paid skipasses and other expenses for this holiday. We decided to instruct a Lawyer to pursue the matter (first time in my life I have to instruct a lawyer against an accommodation) who asked them to pay back a total of €3,500 and they didn't even bother to respond. I think any further comments is unecessary. Every reader can make their mind up about what kind of people you will be dealing with. And if anything I have said above is not true, I challenge the hotel to report me to the Police for Online Defamation but I am sure it would be a pointless exercise for them. Stay well clear

Hotel location excellent, close to piste and an excellent Ski School, short walk to nearest lift and a very good Ski Hire/Repair Shop. Close to bus stop for local buses to Brenta Dolomites within an hours trip, surely worth sparing the time to see another big ski area for which you can use a wider area Ski Pass

La Torretta is a wonderful, cosy, authentic family hotel. It is kept beautifully fresh, clean and uptodate. The food was delicious and all the staff were very polite and helpful. Loved the freshly squeezed juice at breakfast and the multiple and plentiful options (no greek style yoghurt was about all I missed if I'm really picky!).. We really enjoyed the special family menu at supper one pm. Great to learn more about wines too! All extremely convenient and well run. Thank you for a great stay.
