Great hotell. Super friendly staff. This is the one stop shop if you need info on Cassino. By no means the height of luxury. But clean and very much what you expect an Italian hotell to be.

Mr. Valente (owner) excels in the history of Montecassino. His hotel is a shrine to the many who fell during the battle of 1944. Extremely interesting individual and a skilled storyteller! Stayed one night for a very competitive price. Breakfast included. Parking available in the back. Owner welcomed us at our late hour of arrival. Not a pretentious hotel at all, but offers a different experience with all the war memorabilia.

My family and I stayed at La Pace for a little over 2 weeks in late July, a few years ago. We enjoyed using the hotel as a hub to travel around the surrounding towns and touristic beaches. Day trips were easy from La Pace. It is well located between Rome and Naples and 1km from the Cassino train station. The rooms were spacious and very well kept. The staff is very kind and the owner Pino is a gracious host. The hotel lobby is somewhat of a WWII museum; show casing memorabilia and artifacts from the war. Pino is a great story teller and he will teach you all there is to know about the Abbey of Monte Cassino and the historic battle that took place in the charming city. 10/10 for this hotel. I cannot wait to stay there again!

I highly recommend Hotel La Pace for your place to stay when visiting Cassino/Monte Cassino. Giuseppe (Pino) and the staff were very hospitable and inviting, and helped accommodate my large university group. The rooms were great, some with terraces with views of the Abbey. They also have many helpful resources in the lobby. Though we did not have the chance given a tight itinerary, Pino offered to provide presentations on the battles of Monte Cassino. It is located a approx. 500m/5-10 minute walk from the Center and near numerous restaurants/bars.
