★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Battigia for four nights and it is definitely not a four star hotel. It is a good three star. The rooms are new and clean, the bathroom was clean also nice. The ocean view and balcony were wonderful. The beach is private, and beautiful, with chairs and umbrellas for guest use which is also wonderful. The water in May was like bathwater, gorgeous! I wish I liked it more, because this place could be a paradise.
Where it falls down is on the little things and one very big thing. The toilet had stains in it, the toilet roll holder was rusty and busted. There were cigarette burns in the table on our patio, and in the pillows on the outdoor couches. The food at the breakfast buffet varied from meh to gross, I found hair in my eggs and an eyelash in the bacon. Sloppy, is the best way to describe the upkeep.
The staff were friendly after I put I effort to be really nice to them, but at first meet they were cold and unhappy. Poor management style is my guess, as whenever I saw the manager he glared at me, at other guests, at the staff. It seemed like a pretty miserable place to work and you could feel it.
I probably wouldn't stay there again despite the good things about it, which are very good, because you are so isolated and to get away from the glum feel of the place to any good restaurants or activities you have to drive at least 20-30 mins.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at La Battigia Hotel. The hotel is located right on the beach, has a pool, restaurants and a bar. The rooms were a great size with an amazing view and balcony overlooking the ocean. The staff was welcoming, nice and very helpful. They helped us plan various excursions and provided numerous recommendations throughout our stay. The restaurant and bar located at the hotel had great food and a fun, energetic atmosphere. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sicily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Hotel La Battigia July 2-5, 2020. Our room came with 2 chairs, an umbrella, and beach towels. The pool was nice and clean, the sea was clear, and the beach was nice and sandy. The town the resort is in is clean and the nearby Castellammare di Golfo is gorgeous. The restaurant on site is overpriced, the menu doesn’t vary, and I didn’t see anything specifically Sicilian on the menu. The bar next door is amazing with tons of drinks, some relaxed night life, and very reasonable prices. Breakfast was typical Italian breakfast fare and good. The beds were comfortable in the suite and we slept very well. I was disappointed that we were offered a cake for our 20th wedding Anniversary and we were charged €40 for it at checkout. I never would have gotten the cake knowing this and paying for it was not mentioned in any of the email traffic leading up to the trip. We had a great trip and would recommend to stay here, but charging us for the cake when it was never explained that there would be a price, as well as what the price was....this shows the level of customer service of the resort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The convenience of being able to lay at the pool or the beach was what won us over. Pet friendly hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Fortunately we were there at a great time and it wasn't terribly busy. There is a restaurant on site and you are not allowed to bring outside food to the pool (we didn't know this until we were told).
The hotel, pool and private beach area were all very clean and well taken care of. We would definitely go back and stay here again!

Avoid this place - there are many other where people are nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ excellent hotel..amazing staff and very very nice food and atmosphere…they really took care of us & we were upgrade to the balcony suite..
Its a beach front hotel with nice big spacious rooms and balconies..lots of parking and loads of beach space and area to walk around.. your around 20/30 minutes from the capital and we throughly enjoyed the sounds of waves crashing with open doors and nice breezes while plane spotting if anyone is interested.. also the Alamco town is also very cute and pretty and worth seeing..
thank you to the staff again as when we were leaving & coming both times we were helped in with the luggage from the parking lot & while leaving the front desk staff got us a full huged packed breakfast as we were going miss it by 30 minutes which was very sweet.
Also the hotel room, space etc was very nicely done and the breAkfast freshy backed pastries etc were my favorite:)))
Also many thanks to the staff member who got us take out the first nite we checked in which was pretty late as there kitchen was closed and again was so helpful as i hadnt eaten so its these small touches which make the experience better and we will definitely go back and stay with them again
