Nice place for extended stay or if one is PCSing with the military (hotel is directly across the street from the base). Cute hidden kitchenette with a micro fridge but no microwave in the room. One has to go into the lobby to use the microwave. Spacious, nice marble floors. We had a problem with black mold growing in some corners of the rooms because it was so humid inside, even though it was wintertime. We also had an outbreak of small sugar ants for some reason but the hotel staff gave us ant bait traps to take care of it within two days time. One thing that we did find strange... every time we would leave the room, somebody at the front desk remotely turned off our heat. This got to be very frustrating because we had infant children that we needed to keep warm and when the heat was off and we couldn't control the thermostat ourselves, we had to go all the way to the front desk to ask them to turn our heat back on. Staff was kind and very helpful and spoke a helpful amount of English. In one direction the hotel is near 2 bus stops, three restaurants within walkig distance that don't open until about 7 or 8 p.m., a bakery, a small convenience store, and in the other is "downtown" Gaeta with lots of little markets and restaurants.

We arrived at the hotel at 10am, were offered free breakfast before the check-in and upgrade to bigger room for just extra 10eur. We ended up with 2nd upgrade to great room with a large balcony. Really enjoyed our stay there. Staff is excellent, super polite and helpful.

The staff was great. The room was nice. However, there was some mold in the corner of the shower, as well as a leak in the back shower panel. They use a cleaning service which for me the towels smelled weird and looked dirty sometimes. But super nice and will to help!

Nice hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast Croissants are absolutely without a doubt THE BEST I’ve EVER had. Convenient location and convenient guest parking. Not the most convenient laundry machines.

Amazing hotel, perfect location, our room was spacious, clean! and had a great view. We had a terrace where you could sit out in an evening. About 10 minutes walk to the sandy beach, and 5 mins walk the other way to all the bars and restaurants. This is our new place to stay when we are over in Italy for the summer. I will be going back this summer!

Best hospitality I’ve received in ALL of Italy. On the way to the hotel I left my bag on the train and the hotel staff kindly helped me to try and get it back. After seeing how upset I was they did all they could to help with the situation including complimentary drinks to try and help my calm down. Very kind and compassionate people with a beautiful hotel and great views. Very close to everything and with many things to do. Everything is very clean and nice. 10/10 would recommend.

This is the second time we've stayed at Hotel Gajeta. Both times, this hotel and it's staff have been wonderful. The staff speaks fluent English. We made our group reservations by email. Despite our schedule fluctuating and us adjusting the reservations a few times, there were no problems. They were very easy going. Upon arrival, checking in was smooth. The front desk attendant gave us the run down about breakfast times and things to do in town. The rooms were all spacious and very clean. The views from the rooms are all fantastic, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The breakfasts are eggs, bacon, fresh baked goods, yogurt, sandwich meats, toast, and cereal buffet. Pretty good. Also coffee. They make terrific espresso drinks all day long. The restaurant downstairs has an excellent menu for lunch and dinner. The chef frequently comes out to speak with the customers and that dude can cook! The hotel is located central to everything in town. There's lots of places to eat within walking distance. It's a 10 minute walk to the beach side of town. It's also right at the base of the hill which has amazing views during sunrise and sunset. I highly recommend staying at the Hotel Gajeta when visiting Gaeta.
