A bit outside in the industrial zone. Liked the access to the sea. Disliked the bad sound isolation of the room (especially when pound music was played late at night). Food was OK but not great. Staff was nice and helping. Loved the massage!

Far from the beach, not very good food, monotonous ; we had to pay for drinks by prepaid hotel cards - a strange system in which you lose your money if you don't spend it all because you do not get it back. We put 60 EUR on the card and lost some of it because we didn't spend it all and the refund wasn't possible.I do not recommend this hotel.

Romantic Beautiful middle Eastern style hotel. Friendly staff, always willing to help. Very green, lovely room with large balcony overlooking gardens. Entertainment staff are genuine, but not my style; to commercial and not authenticate enough. I give a 4 star for hotel grounds and lovely staff. I didn't go to the hotel beach, so cannot comment on that. Location is a bit out of the way, but that's great if you want a peaceful holiday. Actually, I appreciated it more when I left Palermo. In contrast, Palermo is a hustle and bustle city. The beaches of mondelo likewise; all I could see was bodies and not sand. On the other hand, cefalu is a beautiful, authenticate and charming town with equally beautiful beaches. Half an hour from hotel Dolcestate, it's well worth the visit, and is a breath of fresh air in comparison to mondelo beaches. Unfortunately the food is less to be desired, breakfast is pretty basic, and if you love pork, they will emerse you in it (bacon,salami and sausages out of a tin). I'm a vegetarian, so I coped with meal times. They had loads of Vege dishes. If you're a true meat eater you will be disappointed; they mainly serve processed meats; mince meat balls (veal), salami, processed ham. They did have some raw salmon available once during our stay. Nothing like whole meats e.g steaks, chicken or lamb (my partner was truly disappointed). There's no kettle for tea or irons in the room (If you want a iron, you need to request it from reception). Not sure if there's a charge, I was trying to understand what the cleaner was trying to convey to me; she didn't speak English. Finally, the hotel is ok for kids, but nothing compared to the services for kids you get in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. I wouldn't bring my kids here, unless I'm going to be their entertainer for the duration of my stay (nothing wrong with that of course). Pool shuts down at seven, and you're allocated a dinner table for the whole duration of your stay. If they improved on the food, they would definitely get a four and a half star!
