★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Per essere un 3 stelle, manca la cura di molti dettagli: vedi lenzuola e asciugamani bucate, evidentemente usurate dal tempo.
La camera piccola ma confortevole, se non fosse per il bagno: privo di bidet (che nelle foto su google appare) e il box doccia con un'anta cadente.
La posizione accanto alla ferrovia non è ideale.
Colazione molto buona.
 To be a 3-star hotel, it lacks attention to many details: see sheets and towels with holes, evidently worn by time.
The small but comfortable room, if it weren't for the bathroom: without a bidet (which appears in the photos on google) and the shower cubicle with a falling door.
The location next to the railway is not ideal.
Very good breakfast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo soggiornato 8/9 gg ad agosto. Hotel pulito, in zona tranquilla a 50 metri dal mare. Abbiamo mangiato quasi tutte le sere nel bel giardino all'interno della struttura e darei un bel 10 a Chef Leo. Nel complesso posto ideale per rilassarsi. Ho letto di recensioni negative ma avendo avuto la fortuna di conoscere i fratelli Barbieri posso confermare che molte di queste cose sono false. Anche la nostra stanza era di fronte alla ferrovia, ma con finestra chiusa i 5 treni che passano giornalmente non si sentono.

My girlfriend and I stayed 8/9 days in August. Clean hotel, in a quiet area 50 meters from the sea. We ate most evenings in the beautiful garden inside the structure and I would give Chef Leo a nice 10. Overall great place to relax. I have read negative reviews but having been lucky enough to know the Barbieri brothers I can confirm that many of these things are false. Our room was also facing the railway, but with the window closed the 5 trains that pass daily cannot be heard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo venuti ad Altomonte sull'eco dell'albergo ristorante Barbieri, dove alcuni amici avevano cenato e soggiornato. Forse l'aspettativa è stata "pompata" dai pareri altrui, ma non sono stato colpito più di tanto. Le portate degli antipasti si sono succedute con buon ritmo, le pietanze a km zero sono state cucinate con perizia, ma ovunque abbondava l'olio, buono si ma troppo. Ottimi i tagliolini ai funghi anch'essi, però, con abbondante olio. I dolci in Calabria scarseggiano. Infatti tiramisù pannacotta e creme caramel non sono proprio "tradizionali". L'albergo presenta stanze pulite ed ordinate, che risentono, strutturalmente, in maniera tangibile dell'età. Un rinnovamento è fortemente auspicabile. La cortesia abbonda in tutto il personale della struttura che in fondo ti fa sentire a tuo agio. La colazione aldilà delle marmellatine ha sapori molto "industrial"
We came to Altomonte on the echo of the Barbieri hotel restaurant, where some friends had dined and stayed. Perhaps the expectation was "pumped" by the opinions of others, but I was not impressed that much. The courses of the appetizers followed one another at a good pace, the zero km dishes were cooked with skill, but oil was abundant everywhere, good but too much. The tagliolini with mushrooms are also excellent, however, with plenty of oil. Sweets in Calabria are scarce. In fact tiramisu pannacotta and caramel creams are not really "traditional". The hotel has clean and tidy rooms, which are structurally affected by age in a tangible way. A renewal is highly desirable. Courtesy abounds in all the staff of the structure that basically makes you feel at ease. Breakfast beyond jams has a very "industrial" flavor

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent here one week in July 2017. Beuautiful hotel, nice beach? The room was very clean, we got every day towels and our room was cleaned daily. Hospitality was perfekt, kindly, helpful staff with top of the hotel manager.
