★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 star thermal baths with awesome view; but the hotel needs improvement. Especially given the exorbitant prices...
The room is small for it's price, but it has a coffee machine and water boiler, which we always like.
However the breakfast is not up to par. Partly, this may be due to covid, but other hotels were much better. There was no freshly baked eggs, no fresh fruit or juice. Also, we wondered why there was no bar. It seems to me that they actually miss a lot of revenue this way...
The restaurant is indeed expensive, so we drove to Bormio (10 minutes) instead. On mondays it seems a lot of restaurants were closed, so it would have been wise to reserve a spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would recommend spending some time in the spa, which is lovely. They also let way fewer people in because of COVID, so it did not feel crowded at all.
However I'm giving it 3 stars as we had the 3 course lunch and it was quite bad. Felt more like a canteen, and was extremely underwhelming. Dry, tasteless food. My dessert was still frozen from the freezer and even the biscuits with my coffee (Nespresso!!) were stale...
So if you visit and don't have lunch you'd probably give it 4 or 5 stats, but with lunch is is a 3 at most...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel and location per se are one of a kind and deserve a visit.
The overall experience however is very far from the luxury one expects considering the rates. The rooms are very romantic but incredibly noisy and way too hot to sleep properly. Guests are not given any complementary water despite being in a thermal bath and everything on top of the basic services qualifies as an extra fee. The restaurant is fair in quality but a total rip off when it comes to prices, absolutely not recommend. The thermal baths are fantastic but way too crowded during the regular opening hours: having your own flip-flops constantly stolen despite of covid and hygiene regulations makes the whole luxury experience a joke.
In summary: great potential but poor quality. Regular fees are simply ridiculous, you can find much better at lower rates

My husband and I had a booking just for the day (5 hours), but we decided to leave earlier as the conditions of the SPA were really poor: the place was clearly overbooked, one had to wait to enter the treatment rooms from 15 to 20 mins or even more, people were walking without masks and were not respecting the distancing rules.
And though, you could see staff members around, nobody really cared about the SAFETY. I also missed some indications on the seats and beds advicing to keep the distance.
When my husband and I went to the reception to share our disappointment (we spoke with the Manager CAMILLA) there was really little ACKNOWLEDGMENT FROM THE STAFF.
Mr. Alberto Pelucchi I have to say your staff is really "well" trained to deal with any complaints.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic wellness experience! I can‘t list all the details here of what you can do there, it is far too much. They even have a relaxation room which I rapidly fell asleep in because it was so cozy. The view on the mountains were incredible and you can‘t put a price on the beautiful nature there. Even mountain-goats appeared and came very close to our pool outside. Fantastic!! One downside though was clearly visable at first sight: This Spa is not to be recommended for people with walking and stability issues, they have to manage many slippery stairs without any escalator available to the pool/wellness areas, as far as I saw. Maybe they will find a solution to that. In total I give 4.7 Stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Relaxing in a warm thermal pool, while the air temperature is close to zero, and enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery...what more could one want. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff very helpful...the hotel manager even drove us down to Bormio when we couldn't find a taxi. Food at the hotel is quite good and for half board you can select three dishes from the a la carte menu.
