★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Hotel ist an Toplage in Cannobio, zu Fuss sind See, Lido, Restaurants, Bars, Supermarkt und Markt am Sonntag in wenigen Schritten zu erreichen. Parkmöglichkeiten gibts direkt beim Hotel oder gleich neben an auf dem Parkplatz kostenlos.
Die Zimmer sind inkl. Dusche/WC sehr geräumig und sauber.
Die Bedienung an der Reception und bei Frühstück ist sehr freundliche und zuvorkommend.
Ich denke beim Frühstücksbuffet gibt es noch Luft nach oben. Etwas mehr ABWECHSLUNG wäre wünschenswert. Wie wäre es mit einer guten Käseauswahl, Hartkäse, Weichkäse, etc. und einer Schüssel frischem Fruchtsalat zum Müesli.
Ansonsten finde ich das Antica Stallera ein gutes Hotel mit vernünftigen Preisen. Wir kommen wieder, danke.
 The hotel is in a prime location in Cannobio, the lake, Lido, restaurants, bars, supermarket and Sunday market are just a few steps away on foot. Parking is available directly at the hotel or right next door in the parking lot free of charge.
The rooms including shower/toilet are very spacious and clean.
The service at the reception and at breakfast is very friendly and courteous.
I think there is still room for improvement at the breakfast buffet. A little more variety would be desirable. How about a good selection of cheeses, hard cheeses, soft cheeses, etc. and a bowl of fresh fruit salad with your muesli.
Otherwise I think the Antica Stallera is a good hotel with reasonable prices. We'll be back, thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Antica Stallera was a good choice considering it being a three-star hotel. The runner up was the Hotel Cannobio, but its price did not convince us.
Antica Stallera gives you a guaranteed spot for your car and it has all the charm and convenience a hotel in such a touristy place should have. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is washed down daily with "eau de javel" (bleach). The breakfast buffet is outstanding and has a wide range of tastes. The hallways smell of cleanliness.
The view isn't amazing, but hey - I'm not here for the view, just give me a quiet place to sleep.
What I also appreciated is the fact that you can open the windows wide open. So at night you can create an air current between the toilet and your room, as I don't appreciate air cons running all night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ive eaten all over this region for decades and this is a particularly good example of the wonderful local cuisine beautifully reinterpreted in a gastronomic yet unpretentious style. It doesn't get much better than this and prices are very reasonable. Its also a hotel that seems very nice.
