β β β β β I am very happy that I have chosen Ciao Italia to improve my Italian! Eventhough I had only two weeks on disposal for C1 course, due to high level of professionalism from Ciao Italia team, I found it very useful and I can see great contribution to my Italian. Location of the school is really great. Also, school organised very inspiring cooking class! I would recommend Ciao Italia to everyone and if I will be able, I will come back. :) Laura, Croatia

β β β β β I spent 3.5 months at Ciao Italia during the fall of 2018. It was an excellent experience and the instruction was outstanding. Before starting, I researched and stopped by several language schools. Ciao Italia had the right combination of small class sizes coupled with offering a range of courses from beginner to advanced. The small class size provided more opportunity to practice speaking while the range of courses allowed me to enter at the appropriate level (I had taken Italian in graduate school over a decade earlier). I advanced from B1 instructional material to C1 material during my time at the school.
My instructors were Paola and Marco, but on several occasions we had substitute instructors, and they were all top quality. Over the course of my 3.5 months at the school, I had classmates from the United States, Spain, Germany, Israel, Switzerland, France, and Lithuania, ranging in age from university students to senior professionals. Several of my classmates returned every year for several weeks of classes. The school offered 2-3 activities each week, ranging from free neighborhood tours, movies, or low cost lunches with the instructors to all day tours on the weekend with a paid guide.
The class format was two separate sessions - one grammar and one conversational where different topics on Italian culture or everyday life were used to prompt the conversations. Approximately 15-30 minutes of homework is assigned each night, with the goal being to provide reinforcement on the days lesson without encumbering students with so much homework that it competes with time to enjoy Rome or travel on the weekends. While class composition changed frequently, the instructors were agile enough to keep all students engaged and improving. At times, I was the most advanced student in the section, and at other times I was the least advanced student in the section - at no time did I feel like I was being left behind or not being engaged.
Bottom line, I recommend Ciao Italia to anyone serious about learning Italian. While the schoolβs physical infrastructure isnβt noteworthy, these savings are passed onto the students and the energy and focus of the instructors is on target - creating a professional but light environment where students can maximize the opportunity to learn Italian in the heart of Rome.

β β β β β Ciao Italia is fantastic! The teachers are great and I love the way the classes are structured. Grammar and conversation lessons everyday and it really helps to advance learning the language, especially speaking, faster. Ive been to another italian language school and by far, this one is better. I highly recommend it

β β β β β After attending my first class at Ciao Italia, I was left feeling motivated and really capable of learning Italian. Classes were small, so each student was given plenty of attention and I never felt left behind. The teachers there obviously love what they do and genuinely care for their students. This provides such a supportive environment - perfect for learning the language. By the end of the 4 week program, I had made significant progress and was very happy with my new skills! Grazie a tutto lo staff, specialmente a Simona, Paola, e Marta!!!

β β β β β I just took the four week all-morning class and I'm very happy with the experience. This is a small school, which is something good: classes aren't crowded and the atmosphere is very friendly. The teachers make the classes enjoyable and they try to get you up to speed and engaged in conversations from day one (I came in with almost zero experience in Italian). They also organize other activities like tours, movies and lunches that are quite fun and aΒ good way to enjoy the city. I'd definitely recommend it.

β β β β β I have done an intensive course with Ciao Italia in summer 2021 and I have to say that I'm extremely satisfied with the course specially thanks to the great enthusiasm and passion showed by our lecturer Graziana and also Augusto. The staff was very friendly and the content is very well structured. Different levels and discounts are also possible. Worth paying the amount. I would highly recommend it.

β β β β β I spent a week in Rome at Ciao Italia doing an intensive course and I learned so much in just one week. The location of the school in the Monti area is kind of amazing to say the least. Because of "lockdown" I have been able to continue classes online with the school for the last 8 months and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The teachers are all really interested in their students and love what they do. We study in small groups and the classes are a very happy space. I have made friends for life and can have a real conversation in Italian.
