★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During my 1-month stay in Florence, I made an appointment at Hairforce and had Joe cut my hair. My hair is naturally curly, and I'm really selective about who cuts it — because curls aren't always easy to work with. :)
As I requested, Joe cut my hair into a graduated bob with layers. Before I made the appointment, I saw that Joe had had Vidal Sassoon training, so I guessed he'd be talented. When I sat in the salon chair, it's as if he instinctively knew exactly what I like. It was such a relief that he knew exactly what to do to give my hair volume, but not let it remain too heavy. This is essential for naturally curly hair.
I'm extremely happy with my haircut, and I wish I lived in beautiful Florence so I could have Joe cut my hair every 5 weeks.
I don't speak much Italian, but Joe speaks fluent English so it's easy to communicate. What's more, Joe is friendly, personable, and funny. I felt like a valued customer.
Also, the client getting her cut in the chair next to me was a kind and interesting person (cookbook author and culinary experience guide). I get the sense that this salon is a great place to meet interesting people living in Florence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place for a haircut. Everyone is so friendly and so professional. Joe gave me the best cut I have had in a while. I knew it was a good sign when I saw a friend who has lived here for 10 years in a chair when I walked in. Also when I heard the owner taking a reservation from someone in the states for next month! Bottom line: Get your haircut here, you won’t regret it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cleo was fantastic! She took her time with coloring my hair, retouching my roots- offered me coffee, and made sure I was comfortable. She styled my hair beautifully and did my makeup. I even got some restaurant recommendations from her. I have been to Hairforce twice now and I am always treated with such care when I visit. Wonderful place if you need anything done while in Florence.
