Esplorate il comune, inoltratevi presso il castello ed arrivate alla chiesa madre e li, o conoscerete o si farà conoscere Carmelo. Lui senza nessuna iperbole è Ginosa. Inizierà a raccontarvi della chiesa, illustrandovi i dipinti, gli affreschi e tutte le storture delle leggi e della gestio e all'Italiana dei patrimoni storici. Vi inviterà poi per la serata, con il fresco a fare una delle escursioni migliori che potreste fare, immersi nella natura accompagnati da un nonnino e un cane della zona alla scoperta di chiese, case e affreachi risalenti anche al 600 (non 1600, proprop il 600 dc!). Mi ha davvero emozionato e mi sono chiesta come mai non ci sono andata prima. Se siete appassionati di urbex come me, ci sono vari edifici abbandonati. Si può camminare su un sentiero per vedere le grotte A place that has nothing to envy to the more famous Matera. It is less known and therefore more pristine. It really excited me and I wondered why I didn't go there before. If you are a fan of urbex like me, there are several abandoned buildings. You can walk on a path to see the caves

Il villaggio rupestre Rivolta si estende sul lato del paese di Gravina di Ginosa. Non è quasi mai affollato. Beh Matera non è seconda a nessuno, ma anche qst sito merita una bella visita. Proprio dietro al paese di Ginosa, e appunto dove scorreva il fiume Gravina, si trova un sito "ristrutturato" di case rupestri in buonissime condizioni. Il vialetto di ciottoli ben ricostruito facilità la visita potendo curiosare dentro a qst ex abitazioni di contadini. Dalla parte opposta delle case-grotta, facendo una breve passeggiata, è possibile visitare una chiesa rupestre. Tutta L'area é costellata da chiese rupestri. Dall' alto sorvegliano la chiesa madre ed il castello A fabulous place, very ancient, the settlements date back to the Middle Paleolithic with traces of Neandhertal man. It envelops the town as if it were a horseshoe and each side has its own peculiarity. The Rivolta area is older, with cave houses, the more recent Casale. The whole area is dotted with rock churches. Accompagnata dal profumo intenso delle erbe aromatiche, ho esplorato un territorio unico con profondi crepacci, grotte naturali, grattacieli scolpiti nella roccia. Ho ammirato i camini, le mangiatoie, le dispense, il tutto scavato nella roccia e conservato in maniera impeccabile. Un paesaggio creatosi, nel corso dei millenni, attraverso lo scivolamento delle acque piovane tra le rocce, che hanno generato questi profondi e spettacolari canyon, le gravine. L’erosione ha lasciato in questi canyon numerose cavità che, ampliate nel corso dei secoli dall’uomo, hanno dato vita ai villaggi rupestri. In Gravina di Ginosa, among the ancient cave houses, I found a magical atmosphere full of mystery, something very fascinating, archaic and timeless. Accompanied by the intense scent of aromatic herbs, I explored a unique territory with deep crevasses, natural caves, skyscrapers carved into the rock. I admired the fireplaces, the mangers, the pantries, all carved into the rock and preserved in an impeccable way. A landscape created, over the millennia, through the sliding of rainwater between the rocks, which generated these deep and spectacular canyons, the ravines. Erosion has left numerous cavities in these canyons which, enlarged over the centuries by man, have given life to rock villages.
V	VAL MAR on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quando si parla di gravina si parla di storia. Nulla da invidiare alla omonima città lucana, Ginosa per alcuni versi, si mostra più affascinante. Dicono che la fortuna di queste,sia stata la cattiva gestione ,che ha lasciato tutto così "immobile". Oggi,si apprezzano saperi e mestieri antichi, che sposano a pieno le case incastonate nelle gravine. La natura qui domina,è parte integra della città. Le grotte nascondono chiese rupestri e affreschi a volte sbiaditi,ma molto interessanti. Nel periodo pasquale,viene proposto uno spettacolo religioso, sfruttando la gravina come scenografia. Lo spettacolo non può che essere unico. Consiglio prima di visitare la città,di fare delle ricerche oppure affidarsi alle varie guide presenti in zona. When we talk about the ravine we are talking about history. Nothing to envy to the Lucanian city of the same name, Ginosa in some ways, is more fascinating. They say that the luck of these was bad management, which left everything so "immobile". Today, ancient knowledge and crafts are appreciated, which perfectly match the houses set in the ravines. Nature dominates here, it is an integral part of the city. The caves hide rock churches and sometimes faded but very interesting frescoes. During the Easter period, a religious show is proposed, using the ravine as a scenography. The show can only be unique. Before visiting the city, I recommend doing some research or relying on the various guides in the area.
