Bella e scenografica è impreziosita al suo interno da alcune tele di buona fattura. Much loved by the inhabitants. Its size emerges suddenly in the city center. La volta è affrescata dal pittore Giambecchina; alle pareti bellissimi stucchi di Giacomo Serpotta e quelli realizzati dall'artista contemporaneo Filippo Sgarlata. Pregiatissima la pala d'altare che raffigura l'Annunciazione, opera del pittore Guglielmo Borremans. Altrettanto meritevoli di una sosta sono la statua lignea di San Giuseppe con il Bambino Gesù e il reliquiario antropomorfo che custodisce le spoglie mortali del Patrono San Nicasio Martire, quest'ultimo opera di un argentiere siciliano. L'edificio a tre navate, a croce latina, è luogo di culto e di radicate tradizioni religiose. Tra queste "A Retina" di San Giuseppe, una questua con cavalli in occasione della raccolta delle offerte per i festeggiamenti del Patriarca. E sempre legata a San Giuseppe è "A Scalunata", ovvero una gradinata di luci montata dietro l'altare maggiore alla cui sommità viene posta la statua del Patriarca nel corso della settimana di funzioni religiose a ridosso del 19 marzo. Particolarmente attiva la Confraternita di San Nicasio, organizza ogni anno, per l'ultima domenica di agosto, i festeggiamenti in onore del Santo Cavaliere che liberò la città dalla peste. La Chiesa è aperta tutti i giorni, dalle 16 alle 19. La visita può essere guidata contattando per tempo il Parroco. The second church of Caccamo in size, after the Duomo, contains works of art of rare beauty. The vault is frescoed by the painter Giambecchina; on the walls beautiful stuccos by Giacomo Serpotta and those made by the contemporary artist Filippo Sgarlata. The altarpiece depicting the Annunciation, by the painter Guglielmo Borremans, is very precious. Equally worthy of a stop are the wooden statue of St. Joseph with the Infant Jesus and the anthropomorphic reliquary that holds the mortal remains of the Patron Saint Nicasio Martire, the latter work of a Sicilian silversmith. The building with three naves, a Latin cross, is a place of worship and deeply rooted religious traditions. Among these "A Retina" by San Giuseppe, a collection with horses on the occasion of the collection of offers for the Patriarch's celebrations. And always linked to St. Joseph is "A Scalunata", or a stairway of lights mounted behind the main altar at the top of which is placed the statue of the Patriarch during the week of religious services close to March 19th. Particularly active the Confraternity of San Nicasio, organizes every year, for the last Sunday of August, the celebrations in honor of the Holy Knight who freed the city from the plague.
