Gravedona is a beautiful city, located on the beautiful Lake Como. Walking through its internal streets is like going back in time. Then when you look out over the lake, the view is stupendous. A place to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Via Sabbati anche quest'anno si accende per Natale con l'allestimento di presepi e con la apertura di vecchi ed ormai chiusi negozi nell'ambito del " tira su la cler" (apri la saracinesca). L'interesse per queste meticolose ricostruzioni diventa presto nostalgia di un tempo non lontano che non si presenterà mai più. Suggerisco una visita accurata anche se le vetrine interessate sono in numero minore rispetto agli anni passati..la macelleria e la cucina dei nonni in particolare sono perfette e capaci di suscitare emozione soprattutto in chi abbia l'età per ricordarsele
Via Sabbati again this year lights up for Christmas with the preparation of cribs and with the opening of old and now closed shops in the context of the "pull up the cler" (open the gate). The interest in these meticulous reconstructions soon becomes nostalgia for a time not far away that will never arise again. I suggest a thorough visit even if the shop windows concerned are fewer in number than in the past .. the butchery and the grandparents' kitchen in particular are perfect and able to arouse emotion especially in those who are old enough to remember them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As we were staying in Gravedona we decided to take a short walk to get the ferry to Bellagio.
We caught the 9:55. It was €33.20 return for the pair of us (excluding the fast boats).
Glorious views, fabulous sunshine and it was crowded on the rear deck.
It takes around 90 minutes. Due to the way the timetable worked we only had time for a quick 40 minute walk round. There was a later ferry but that wasn't till 17:35.
It was a lovely day and so relaxing. The crews and staff were helpful.
