burgers were ok - needed a bit more salt + fat.
bottle of local red wine was good and fairly priced
pasta carbonara - very good - best pasta we have had in rome so far.
fried zuchini flours - very good
service was very good
when it comes to bbq it may be that they are aiming at the italian palete? it didnt work well for me it also could have been the chef's day off - we were there on a sunday in august.
the bbq was disappointing (I lived a long time in america and like bbq so I have a reasonable amount of experience with it)
brisket was a bit bla - mildly smoky, came with sauce on and the sauce wasnt great (bland no distinctive flavor) (no choice of sauce) + they weren't very beefy or jucy
kansas city ribs - disappointing, the sauce was really bland (and no choice of sauce) and the pork was under salted
southern fried chicken - lovely crispy exterior but the chicken was underseasoned
overall generally a lack of salt and bbq sauce was bland and not good at all so it couldnt mask the blandness of the meat - and this is probably the first time I have reviewed a restaurant and said the food wasn't salty enough so I am not some freak of nature who just loves salt

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived as they were opening for the night. Service was more than accommodating. Food choices from pasta, BLT, ribs, and a local wine were all good. Owner was cheerful and pleasant to talk with. Nice to know of a local place with such great atmosphere and quality food.

We asked for 4 supplis and they were a great selection of beers. I was looking for a very particular kind of beer and they gave me something very similar.
The owner was very nice and talked about the kinds of beers they have.
Totally recommend.
