★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Personal ist super nett, aber nicht sofort als Personal zu erkennen. Eine gewisse Erkennbarkeit anhand der Kleidung, oder Schildchen, würde ich gut finden. Wir hatten 2x Tomatensalat und 2x Kaiserschmarrn, 1x heiße Schokolade, 1x Apfelschorle bestellt. Einen besseren Tomatensalat hab ich bisher noch nicht gegessen. Der Kaiserschmarrn war ebenfalls vorzüglich. Die heiße Schokolade, die unser Sohn hatte, war auch die Beste die er je getrunken hatte. Insgesamt also eine erinnerungswürdige Mahlzeit. Der Preis ist entsprechend, aber angemessen. Wir haben 57 Euro bezahlt.
 The staff is super nice, but not immediately recognizable as staff. A certain recognizability by means of the clothes, or labels, I would find good. We had ordered 2x tomato salad and 2x Kaiserschmarrn, 1x hot chocolate, 1x apple spritzer. I haven't had a better tomato salad yet. The Kaiserschmarrn was also excellent. The hot chocolate our son had was also the best he had ever drunk. So all in all a meal to remember. The price is appropriate, but reasonable. We paid 57 euros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Von Verdins aus hoch mit der Seilbahn und weiter mit dem Sessellift …nach der schönen Aussicht beginnt oben die Wanderung bis zur Gompm Alm, an der man Zeit zum Verweilen mitbringen sollte, um die leckeren Speisen, die Gastfreundlichkeit und den wunderbaren Ausblick zu genießen!
From Verdins up with the cable car and on with the chair lift ... after the beautiful view, the hike begins at the top to the Gompm Alm, where you should bring time to linger to enjoy the delicious food, the hospitality and the wonderful view!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Malga di montagna con cucina & drinks di livello superiore: saliti da Merano in e-bike, sono presenti varie stazioni di ricarica all'arrivo. In alternativa funivia Hirzer fino stazione a monte e poi circa 20 minuti di discesa oppure stazione intermedia (o macchina fino al parcheggio all'inizio della strada sterrata) circa 1 ora di salita a piedi con buon ritmo. La nostra esperienza culinaria: aperitivo "Edel Dog" con "Gompm Alm Brettl Alpin-Mediterran", primo fuori menù tagliolini con crema di gorgonzola e Kresse, Tomahawk alla griglia, ottimi rossi "Franz Haas", prima Pinot Nero e poi Merlot e dulcis in fundo Gin Tonic digestivo. Trovare un ristorante di questo livello a queste quote, in mezzo a boschi e montagne è una chicca speciale. I bambini hanno ampio spazio per giocare e vengono organizzati diversi eventi a tema anche con musica live (vedi sito internet). È consigliabile prenotare perché il luogo è molto frequentato...che dire...?
Mountain hut with superior cuisine & drinks: once you go up from Merano by e-bike, there are various charging stations on arrival. Alternatively, the Hirzer cable car to the top station and then about 20 minutes of descent or the intermediate station (or car to the parking lot at the beginning of the dirt road) about 1 hour of climbing on foot at a good pace. Our culinary experience: "Edel Dog" aperitif with "Gompm Alm Brettl Alpin-Mediterran", first off-menu tagliolini with gorgonzola and Kresse cream, grilled Tomahawk, excellent "Franz Haas" reds, first Pinot Nero and then Merlot and dulcis last but not least digestive Gin Tonic. Finding a restaurant of this level at these altitudes, in the middle of woods and mountains is a special treat. Children have ample space to play and various themed events are organized also with live music (see website). It is advisable to book because the place is very popular ... what to say ... ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came by chance to this alp and were rather bad-tempered, as the Verdins cable car was cash only and then this surprise. Nice staff, super atmosphere and delicious food. What more could you ask for! And they accept cards!
