Non era tanto una questione di prezzo, ma più che altro la moglie che ha dei gusti difficili (le mogli hanno quasi sempre gusti difficili... ?)
Avevo girato parecchi posti, alla fine siamo approdati qui e per fortuna siamo stati serviti bene, con calma, competenza e gentilezza.
I prezzi della merce offerta era ben al di sotto del preventivato, ma la moglie è stata contenta, e quindi anch'io ?

It wasn't so much a question of price, but mostly the wife who has difficult tastes (wives almost always have difficult tastes ... ?)
I had toured several places, in the end we landed here and luckily we were served well, with calm, competence and kindness.
The prices of the goods offered were well below the budgeted, but the wife was happy, and so I too ?
