L'unico difetto è che è poco sorvegliato, consiglierei una vigilanza così da renderlo un po' più sicuro dato che ci stanno spacciatori che non si preoccupano minimamente di chiederti se vuoi un po' di droga. M	Mauro Rattazzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giardino realizzato nel 1861, molto amato e frequentato dai torinesi, nel corso di fine '900 è stato sovente trascurato e lasciato alla mercè di tossici e spacciatori che oltre a renderlo pericoloso per le persone normali avevano anche imbrattato le statue di Sambuy, De Amicis e Massimo D'Azeglio. Il caratteristico getto d'acqua che svettava oltre gli alberi sino a 20 metri d'altezza ora è un sottile zampillo di un paio di metri, e il grande orologio floreale che accoglieva i passeggeri in uscita da Porta Nuova è stato distrutto durante i lavori per la fermata della Metro e mai più ripristinato, mentre la colonnina del termometro era già andata perduta da tempo. Ristrutturato di recente, e ora chiuso al pubblico nelle ore notturne, è tornato ad essere frequentato da mamme e bambini, anche se alcune facce non troppo rassicuranti le si vedono ancora, stravaccate sugli scalini del gazebo, sotto agli occhi indifferenti dei vigili interessati più ai divieti di sosta che alla prima impressione che avrà di Torino chi vi arriva in treno. I secolari faggi e ippocastani e il grande Noce del Caucaso, dichiarato "albero monumentale", svettano ancora, e il giardino rimane un gradevole centralissimo polmone verde, ma è chiaro che nonostante sia stato riconosciuto "giardino storico di interesse botanico” l'attuale amministrazione cittadina non è interessata a riportarlo all'aspetto originario che lo rendeva un piccolo gioiello. Spero che riaprano il chiosco. The plants in this garden are TITANIC. well worth the visit: seeing them live is another matter entirely. Very well cleaned and cared for. Si tratta di un'area verde molto bella e bene organizzata, con alberi monumentali, piante rare, un laghetto con fontana e vialetti interni, i quali consentono di ammirare diverse prospettive di questo luogo particolare, che dà così la sensazione d'essere più grande di quanto non sia. Nel parco vi sono statue dedicate a Edmondo de Amicis e ad Ernesto Sambuy. It's a very attractively designed public space with a gorgeous water fountain and impressive looking trees. If you're visiting, keep in mind that, in view of its location, the garden attracts a number of vagrants.
