Questo locale bellissimo del centro di varese, dove si preparavano dolci di alto livello è diventata una pasticceria di quarto ordine. Dicono di fare dolci freschi con ingredienti di qualità, poi compri il dolce di varese ed è secco; dai una possibilità al plumcake e lo trovi vecchio, asciutto e senza canditi! Che peccato. Unfortunately the management has gone into bad hands. This beautiful restaurant in the center of Varese, where high-level desserts were prepared, has become a fourth-order pastry shop. They say they make fresh desserts with quality ingredients, then buy the Varese dessert and it is dry; give the plumcake a chance and you will find it old, dry and without candied fruit! What a pity.
P	Paride Tumeo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Provati "al volo" per un cappuccino a metà pomeriggio di sabato. Servizio al tavolo veloce e cordiale, cappuccino buono. Pochi i tavoli all'interno (5) ma in compenso alcuni sono all'esterno. Molto gradevole l'arredamento retrò e "english-style". Nota ambigua (e commercialmente stramba): poca la pasticceria esposta nelle due vetrine esterne, mentre all'interno le vetrine erano vuote e spente, dando una sensazione di... lasciato andare, senza contare che se avessi voluto accompagnare il cappuccino con un dolce non avrei trovato nulla, peccato. Try "on the fly" for a cappuccino mid-afternoon on Saturday. Fast and friendly table service, good cappuccino. Few tables inside (5) but on the other hand some are outside. The retro and "english-style" furnishings are very pleasant. Ambiguous (and commercially weird) note: the pastry shop displayed in the two external display cases is small, while inside the display cases were empty and off, giving a feeling of ... let go, not to mention that if I wanted to accompany the cappuccino with a dessert I would not find anything, too bad.

Brioches pessime (sembravano del giorno prima) e sinceramente non sono ancora riuscito a capire di che gusto era la marmellata nella mia Brioche!! Something more is always expected from a historic pastry shop in the city center (in the pedestrian area), but I would never have imagined such low quality! Bad brioches (they looked like the day before) and honestly I still haven't been able to understand what the jam was like in my Brioche !!

Che torni a provare una fiamma al cioccolato per poi giudicare, oppure una brioche appena sfornata. Questa non è solo una pasticceria storica, è anche tradizionale. Tradizione signor Konig… tradizione !!! Walter Konig who I don't know who he is, made a ridiculous review…. Whether you come back to try a chocolate flame and then judge, or a freshly baked brioche. In questo periodo dell'anno, da non perdere i cammelli di sfoglia, tipico dolce varesino in vista dell'Epifania. Historic place, in the center.
