★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth a visit to learn about alabaster, its history and artistry. The craftsman we met is a gentleman of seemingly great experience and depth in his craft; he talked to us at length (in Italian) about the types of alabaster, carving techniques, and history. Small but beautiful shop of hand-made (hand-sewn, cut and unique hand-polished) pieces done in the "old way". By the way, he's well-versed in American history in addition to Roman, Etruscan and Medieval Tuscany history, so be prepared : )
