All the other restaurants in Varazze serve stodgy seafood and the type of thing tourists and Milanese like to eat. Nice atmosphere and nice place to eat. Book because it is hard to get into. They don’t publicise this but they grow their own vegetables at Castagnabuona just down the road.

The menu was inventive and offered a lot of gluten free options (except for dessert). My pasta all pesto was fabulous, just like my mother-in-law used to make. The calamari and octopus dishes were perfect. We can definitely recommend this restaurant.

At first it could seem they don't care but instead you will end to be in a place where they care the most because everything they do it has been done with love.

They didn’t have any menu and it was difficult to memorize all dishes, but IMO this is a good thing. We had the trofie al pesto, tuna salad and the cuttlefish. The food was outstanding, very well cooked and above average. We had wine by the glass and didn’t look at the wine list. But it was our best dinner so far.
