In un caso ho portato avanti e indietro per un mese un orologio, caro ricordo di famiglia e acquistato proprio da loro molti anni prima. Nulla da fare, nonostante le mie indicazioni riguardo al problema (il più banale, la pila), sono stata liquidata con un nulla da fare: orologio da eliminare. Solo quando, dopo un paio di mesi, ci siamo decisi a farlo vedere presso altra gioielleria, il problema è stato risolto seduta stante, in cinque minuti: è stato sufficiente sostituire la batteria con una di dimensioni corrette e l'orologio è di nuovo perfettamente funzionante. Come dire: l'orologio non aveva nulla, aveva solo bisogno di una pila adeguata che facesse contatto. Sconcertante e inaccettabile da parte di operatori storici che, tra l'altro, non hanno nemmeno saputo incassare in maniera signorile l'innegabilmente sacrosanta lagnanza. Mi aspettavo delle scuse e una sincera costernazione professionale di fronte all'accaduto. Invece ho subito l'atteggiamento aggressivo di una commessa a cui sembrava dovesse "tornare moneta" laddove tutto il danno l'ho avuto e pagato io. Trascuratezza anche in un un intervento più recente. I was expecting an apology and sincere professional dismay in the face of what happened. Instead I suffered the aggressive attitude of a saleswoman who seemed to have to "return money" where all the damage I had and paid for. Neglect even in a more recent intervention. That's enough. Two stars only for the affection of the times that were and that never come back.
