Gran bella galleria. Sarebbe bello vedere qualche negozio nuovo ogni tanto.
Great beautiful gallery. Masterfully renovated in the 2000s by Flori. Today an open space in one of the most important streets of the city. It would be nice to see some new shops every now and then.

Vittorio Emanuele Gallery Today Eden Cinema (formerly Galleria Vittorio Emanuele) The Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, which later became the Eden Cinema, was commissioned by the merchant Antonio Lavarini, originally from Ornavasso (Verbania, Piedmont), in the early twentieth century and opened on December 29, 1912. The chronicles of the time proudly remember the event, the result of the work of companies and artists from Pistoia. Inside, the ceiling paintings are by Ugo Casanova, the decoration of the walls of Flori, while the wooden works are curated by the company Paglianti, and the wrought iron and cast iron are supplied by the firm Michelucci . The ornamental details of the façade are designed, according to Carlo Cresti, by the same designer Pilo Becherucci and designed by Alfredo Michelucci. The construction of the gallery saturates the last free spaces within the block between Via degli Orafi and Piazza Santo Spirito. The inner courtyard disappears and the old alley of Corte Vecchia is closed (remains remain in the current alley of Pollo) which cut the area in two connecting Via dell'Abbondanza with Via della Posta Vecchia. The entrance was originally located in the center of the façade and the building was doubled as an exhibition gallery and theaters for shows and cinema shows. The displacement of the projection booth from the first floor to the ground floor has subsequently led to the closure of the street entrance, which is located in the adjacent building. Only as a projection room, the gallery closed the activity definitively in 1988. After a period of abandonment after this date, which leads to the progressive deterioration of the interior and exterior decoration, the building is undergoing a comprehensive restoration by the architects Antonio Principato, Maria Cristiana Gismondi, Andrea Nannini and Paolo Rafanelli, which ended in 2000.
