L'edificio antico si sviluppa su due piani affacciando sui giardini e quindi il mare. Le mostre permanenti sono molteplici, ben suddivise e pregevoli. Tra tutte il percorso dedicato a Lorenzo Viani, e tutto il miglior novecento pittorico in un ordine arioso ma logico in cui spiccano le serigrafie di Greco e l'autoritratto di De Chirico. Senza trascurare il Premio Carnevalotto con dipinti e sculture le altre di Mitoraj e Pomodoro. Da non perdere assolutamente. I was on a visit to the GAMC in Viareggio for the Jaen Michel Folon exhibition. The ancient building is spread over two floors overlooking the gardens and then the sea. The permanent exhibitions are numerous, well divided and valuable. Tutto perfetto, all'interno di un grande Palazzo con la Biblioteca, questa Mostra permanente oltre che di Lorenzo Viani, Icona di questa sua città di Viareggio, tanti altri lavori contemporanei. Bella l'esposizione del Carnevalotto con i vincitori, poi salendo di sopra si apre con capolavori assoluti donati da due famiglie Viareggine. Si prosegue con le sale dedicate a Lorenzo Viani e qui bisogna essere preparati sulla sua storia, bisogna studiarlo per apprezzare questo artista, scomparso troppo presto. Consiglio fermamente la visita, oltre che un soggiorno, anche in inverno. I wouldn't have expected that much. We continue with the rooms dedicated to Lorenzo Viani and here we must be prepared on his history, we must study him to appreciate this artist, who passed away too soon. I strongly recommend the visit, as well as a stay, even in winter.
