Местные называют их волонтёрской службой, но это что-то общее из скорой медпомощи и полиции. В любом случае, осмотреть старинную красоту в рамках разумного вам никто не помешает. Главное, сами не мешайте людям работать.

The neighborhood with the popular tourist attraction by the church of Santa Maria Novella does not in the least prevent you from seeing this particular object.
